  1. Would be really nice to see the offense come back with an answer this inning.
  2. The fact they have scored in every inning since the 3rd is disheartening. It has been a slow bleed, and now the Brewers are in a 2-run hole.
  3. I don’t think it is going to hold up by the end of this inning.
  4. I knew Chase had given up a ton of HRs this year, but didn’t realize the 23 he has given up leads the National League among all starters this season.
  5. There is going to be some pressure on the bullpen tonight. Come on, Chase.
  6. This is one of those rare cases where I don’t want the opposing starter’s pitch count to get too high early.
  7. Good job getting out of it, but YIKES that could have been a disastrous inning.
  8. Yeah, things have taken a turn for the worse in a hurry after breezing through the first two innings.
  9. Posting this Tweet because... well, why not. Via Jeff Sullivan:
  10. I am no Schoop apologist, but I think it is worth reevaluating once he has been on this roster for a longer period of time. He has been swinging at pitches out of the zone at an alarming rate, but nothing about his career thus far suggests that will continue. Small sample sizes do funny things. After his first week Erik Kratz was on pace to put up Ruthian numbers, but eventually he reverted back to career norms. Just the opposite can happen to a hitter like Schoop, and for the time being I think we should trust his track record. He isn’t going to be a high-OBP guy, but I think he will ultimately come around to showing enough power to justify his role. All of that being said, I do agree that he shouldn’t be thrust into the #4 spot in this lineup.
  11. Moose!!!! Braun mashing lefties down the stretch run could really help propel this offense.
  12. Just as long as he remembers to be consistent about whether it was the right or left hammy. I know regular hamstring injuries are often reoccurring, but I have a feeling phantom hamstring injuries may prove to be nagging as well.
  13. Throughout his career as a starter he has been good the first time through the order, average the second time through the order, and very bad the third time through the order... 17. Couldn’t ask for a better spot in the order. Come on!!!
  18. Great job Arcia!!! [i really wish they would have turned that double play last inning.] Let’s go!!!!
  19. Didn't see it. He dogged it? If so, totally unacceptable. Yes, he likely would have been safe because the pitcher underhanded the ball from 70 feet away.
  20. If the catcher’s interference leads to the Brewers tying this game that would be amazing.
  21. Nice to see Moustakas get his first Brewers home run. He was all over that pitch from Ottavino.
  22. Gray at 99 pitches, will be interesting to see if they send him out for the complete game.
  23. Same thing I was wondering. Kind of strange, but maybe that was just his reaction to missing the ball.
