If I’m being honest, apathy has started to set in for me as well. I hope they turn things around, but I’m not expecting it.

Failing to turn the double play followed by Yadi’s strikeout dropped third strike has disaster written all over it.

Runs are tough to come by against Mikolas, but getting his pitch count up to 39 through 2 innings is a minor victory. Also really quality contact by both Shaw and Arcia on the first go around.

Does anyone know the story behind Counsell’s navy blue wristband that reads “We’ve Got This”? Haven’t noticed him wearing that before, but maybe I just haven’t been very observant. I’ve also missed several games this week for the first time all season, so maybe it’s been explained?

I agree, with Jake Arrieta being the most glaring such example. I think if the Brewers had been further along in their competitive window when Jimmy Nelson originally came up they may not have had the luxury of being as patient with his development at the MLB level as they ultimately were. Now the question will be whether the Brewers are able to further develop a young pitcher like Thompson while also trying to maximize the value of their 40-man roster spots. -
Congratulations Thank you. Was it the in-home hyperbaric chamber that tipped you off? In hindsight that was a dead giveaway desperation had set in, but the rest of us ignored the obvious signs!

Not to oversimplify it, but I think that could go along way towards whether or not it’s a successful Sunday for Brewers. So far this year... Anderson has given up 0 home runs in 9 games, Brewers are 6-3 in those games. Anderson has given up 1 home run in 6 games, Brewers are 3-3 in those games. Anderson has given up 2 home runs in 7 games, Brewers are 2-5 in those games. Chase has given up 3 home runs once this and the Brewers actually won that game versus the Cardinals (April 3rd). With Newcomb on the mound for the Braves it seems like the room for error will be small for the Brewers pitchers today.

It is funny how psychologically an 8th inning come from behind rally to win seems so much more satisfying than a run of the mill 4-2 victory. It’s apparently the 7th time this season the Brewers have won when trailing going into the 7th inning or later.

I don’t think I’ve ever wanted CC to put Knebel in to pitch the 9th more than I do tonight. Not because I think it would be a good decision, but because I think it would absolutely break the Brewers-verse.
