In 2002 the Braves played a 95-win Giants team in the NLDS. Giants won the first game and lost the next two to put the Braves up 2-1 in the series. The Braves decided to throw Tom Glavine on short rest for game 4. Glavine got shelled, giving up 7 hits, 5 walks, and 7 runs over just 2.2 IP. The Giants went on to also win game 5 and ended up playing in the World Series that year. Here’s hoping history repeats itself.
