  1. What’s the major league record for consecutive scoreless innings? Asking for a friend.
  2. When was the last time they led in a game that wasn’t a walk off ending, last Saturday?
  3. It seemed like Woodruff was having trouble locating his pitches in the first inning, several occurrences where he was off target.
  4. Slightly more concerned to see Yelich out of the lineup tonight than I was yesterday. Hoping that it is indeed just precautionary with the oblique, but I imagine they would have him out there tonight if the discomfort had completely gone away. Hopefully not, maybe they are just being very cautious following last night's injury.

  8. Curious what you are referencing since I haven’t seen one poster in this thread indicate “Yelich is a HoFer”? If you’re referring specifically to my post, I was pointing out that he has had a very good career thus far at a young age which compares favorably to the various homegrown players throughout Brewers history who reached the majors at a young age. I used factual information to share something I found interesting, if you spun that into Yelich being considered a Hall of Famer than I think you misconstrued the intent. Yelich has been a very good player to this point in his career. His odds of making the Hall of Fame remain unlikely (as is the case with every player his age not named Trout). That being said, his chances aren’t zero and they are a lot better than the majority of players we have seen in a Brewers uniform during their mid-20’s throughout the history of the franchise, so let’s recognize that as well.
  9. I would be way more upset about this game if I didn’t already know the bats are just waiting to come alive in the 9th to win it in dramatic fashion.
  10. Better question is who gets bumped first. Chacín is making a good argument, but Suter is probably at the greatest risk.
  11. Guerra will be next if you're making me not pick Miley. Yeah, I should have excluded Guerra also.
  12. Who do you think the first starting pitcher currently at either Biloxi and Colorado Springs to get a chance to enter the rotation this year will be (Note: excluding Wade Miley)?
  13. Chacín’s velocities by month since last year show he has been down with both the four-seamer and sinker this year.
  14. He's 1-11 against Martinez, Sogard is 2-6, so my guess is it's more about Arcia not doing well against Martinez. Not sure it matters much with that small a sample size, but after Martinez walked the world in his last start I wouldn't mind having more patient guys in the lineup tonight. 16. I will preface with the fact that unless the player’s name is Mike Trout it is nearly impossible to bestow HOF accolades on someone in their mid-20’s. That being said, Christian Yelich has 18.6 bWAR through his age-25 season. That is impressive by Brewers standards. As a comparison if you look at the early career of all players in Brewers history (during their time within the organization), only two accumulated more bWAR through their age-25 season than that total. Any guesses on who those two players are? Hint: They are both Hall of Famers...
  17. Not to be a dick, but the game was tied for 2 pitches (first and last) and the Cardinals had the lead when the other 311 were thrown. Brewers never had the lead when any pitch was thrown Ha! I took that from a Cardinals message board. I blame those 'morans'. I think it is the “end result” of each pitch. Regardless, what an unreal game.
  18. Sounds like a lead off walk and a bomb to end this one. [sarcasm]I was kind of hoping to see Yelich bat again.[/sarcasm]
  19. Arcia doesn’t look like he is up there to talk a walk.
  20. With this offense, the team never seems like they are completely out of it.
  21. Anderson’s velocities from his first start were lower than at any point last season. Below are his monthly velocity averages from last year and those from his lone start this year at the bottom of the chart.
  22. Yeah, that is the bigger concern to me than Sedar blowing the decision on sending Piña.
  23. A little late to this, but below is Jack Flaherty‘s Baseball America scouting report:
