  1. Didn't watch a second of him in Baltimore, but all I know is when he was here, he was awful defensively and was a mistake waiting to happen on the bases.. there's a reason we traded him.
  2. Guerra to me, always seemed worse than his numbers indicated. Really never felt comfortable with him in the game, didn't seem to miss many bats.
  3. Carl Edwards to Seattle for one year and less than a million bucks. I would've liked the Brewers to sign him for that, he struggled last year but he's been good in the past and always seems to have our number pitching against us.
  4. Vogt lacks so much behind the plate. They have to have a better upgrade than Vogt. But Vogt is an ex-Brewer, so that means we have to consider him, we just have to... What does that even have to do with anything? He's coming off a strong year in San Fran, and could platoon with Pina. The guy can hit and yeah he sucks defensively but teams don't run as much as they used to anyway.
  5. Sign Vogt and have him and Pina form a soft platoon for cheap
  6. I saw on rotoworld that some Japanese pitcher is gonna be posted, anybody know how good he projects to be and if we should pursue him?
  7. Could we be interested in Luis Urias? I saw a blurb on rotoworld earlier today that teams are interested in trading for him as a SS. Maybe we're one of those teams and can see him being an improvement over Arcia.
  8. Would Turang, Corey Ray, Lutz, and Supak be a fair trade for both sides for Robbie Ray?
  9. I'm not much of a BA guy, but I will say he is miles better than Craig Coshun, he is just awful.
  10. For all the talk about how old-school Bill is, I don't think BA is much better. He often raves about players' RBI totals like those matter, compares teams' defenses based solely off errors, etc.
  11. You think Corey Ray is almost three times as valuable as Trent Grisham?
  12. Thames should have been our everyday 1B (at least against RHP) from day one this season. He was always likely to outhit Aguilar vs RHP despite Aguilar's allstar season last year.
  13. What's the difference between playoff pct. and playoff pct. adj?
  14. I think you guys are being a little modest, I don't see why Hader wouldn't be available Saturday if needed. It was a stress-free two innings.
  15. He's Scooter Gennett before his breakout seasons. (Not that that's a bad thing, I think we should look into him)
  16. Even though he's not very good in the clubhouse, what if we signed Jack Parkman to be our catcher? Great hitter and his power would play great at Miller Park.
  17. Would the Dodgers really let Grandal walk in free agency if they thought highly enough of him? Do they have any young talented catchers in their minor league system?
  18. I noticed the same thing regarding Schoop. It sure felt like when he wasn't swinging and missing at junk pitches, when he actually WOULD make contact, he was always late on fastballs fouling them off, showing a serious lack of bat speed. It hardly felt like he barrelled anything up during his entire tenure with us. (excluding the infamous grand slam)

  20. Certainly not against righties.
  21. Is the facebook stream not working for anyone else?
  22. Dickerson, Cervelli, and Mercer for Nottingham, Gatewood, Derby, and Ponce... who says no?
  23. Because Braun is a .300 OBP guy at this point, Santana is garbage this season, Broxton and Phillips aren't the answer, and Thames is fine playing corner OF part-time but eventually he'll be exposed if he plays there too much.
  24. I know it would have seemed crazy not long ago to trade for another good established outfielder, but with Braun and Santana having mediocre seasons, not to mention Broxton and Phillips not even putting up good numbers in Colorado Springs, I like the idea of going after Corey Dickerson. The Pirates will probably be sellers at the deadline, and Dickerson is on the last year of his contract. I don't think it should take much to get him. He's having a good season, pretty underrated career too. Reminds me of Christian Yelich, just with less walks. I know this wouldn't really happen in real life, because they wouldn't wanna insult Braun by him being a bench player, but it would be a good way to improve the team. Not only does he improve our offense against RHP, it also improves the defense too. Dickerson and Braun could be a really good platoon if nothing else.
