  1. It's too bad on burnes because I would have to imagine he's just not going to be able to put on the innings this year to help the big club but he sure does look like a special talent. I think woodruff is an upgrade, and I don't think he will need extended time to "stretch" back out as I'm sure the throwing program takes care of thatwith his injury being lower body. Angel Ventura seems like he's invisible but he has been carving up the minors, seems to be permanently bumped to AAA, and though he's not striking out a ton of guys right now his run prevention is excellent and when he was in Appleton he was throwing 95-97, though I'm not sure what he's throwing now. And he needs to be added to the 40 man to be protected for next year so I would assume he's going to get a look at some point and whether in the rotation or the pen could provide an upgrade.
  2. My optimism right now is based around Brandon woodruff. Our TOR acquisition has been on the DL and is almost ready to come off. What if, just what if he dominated like he has at every level?? His stuff has been nasty and dominant, and he's from Mississippi so I am predicting a Ben Shera like 10-0 debut. So without trading anyone the Brewers are going to be able to get better! Then when chase gets back look out! And not to bring negativity to the thread but isn't it time to option Guerra until they figure out what's going on with his velocity?
  3. I immediately looked for any announcement and can't find it anywhere
  4. On the Cubs TV broadcast. A foul ball went into the Brewers dugout and they said "it almost took out garret cooper done there in the Brewers dugout"
  5. They just mentioned on the broadcast that he's in the dugout.
  6. They said on the broadcast "just missed Garrett cooper in the dugout" of a foul ball. But I have not seen anything reported anywhere
  7. Jungmann was almost unhittable 2 years ago throwing a 96 mph fastball that was moving everywhere. In fact it looked like 3 different fastballs. Then all he had to do was get the curveball near the plate. Then When he came in last year all of the sudden he was throwing 88-90 and it was straight as an arrow. It's not a situation of if he is good or not, it's if he got back his velocity or not. And if you think a few ticks and movemnt on 1 pitch shouldn't make that much difference just look at chase anderson this season. His CoS results so far this year suggest maybe his help is back up, here to hoping!
  8. Am I really the guy TJ break this!? Brett Phillips called up to the Show, Shaw on paternity leave. Likely a short cup of coffee.
  9. It would seem to make sense to call up and outfielder and put Perez at 2b a bit more often.
  10. Any news on Tyrone Taylor? I know he got hurt right before the season but its been double his projected DL time. Was there a transaction that I missed? is he still with the organization? he was on my radar to hopefully have a bounceback this season.
  11. I would put Dubon in the Surging category as well, he started slow, but like the rest of our AA roster has been hitting REALLY well since the Roach trade (starting the think that guy might have been bad for the locker room). Javi Betancourt has also been on fire in AA and is mostly forgotten coming off a tough year but was heralded in the tigers system when he came over for Franky.
  12. Well it's espino... Hopefully he's found something that turns to Brewers gold!!!
  13. I was thinking the same thing, Davies has been just as bad and in a few areas worse than peralta, you gotta think today's outcome might determine whether his next start is in AAA or MLB and I think the Leralta demotion being announced well ahead of time was an intentional message to Davies as well (who does not have the same bullpen value as Willy).
  14. In all likelihood it's Paola at this point. But, with the way the rotations are set at AAA and AA it could still be woodruff, Hader, Lopez, or Jungmann. If Woodruff is scratched tonight that would be telling, and AA still has a tbd for tonight and tomorrow.
  15. I was at the sky sox game tonight and not only was everything hit really hard off hader, but he was topping out at 88 and living at 86-87mph. Nothing was popping the mit, and quite a few pitches skipping I. The dirt in front of home. It was concerning, has anyone heard of reduced velocity with him at all lately?
  16. Korean Shade
  17. Do you mean high A? All but nothingham played in low A of at most a third of a season at high A. I think it's more likely that Carolina is loaded
  18. That's awesome. Paint me optimistic!
  19. Thanks for that update, glad he should be able to get some work in, I feel like he's the forgotten man in that trade, he has decent upside still.
  20. Looks like it might be Garza again, but he was in too good of shape? http://m.brewers.mlb.com/news/article/216465662/brewers-matt-garza-poised-for-bounceback-2017/ I saw that and had a little chuckle that it seemed as if they intentionally didn't say best shape of his life/career...
  21. What about hauser?
  22. Taylor and Kirby are both Guy I really like and probably usually over rank when we do crowd lists because I know most will under rank them. The part in this article that excites me most is Taylor Williams, who probably has the best stuff in our system, saying he was envious of kirby's stuff! That excites me cause we haven't actually seen Kirby yet, but we know when healthy we probably don't have another pitcher that matches Williams...
  23. I feel like old Downhill Thunder would do well to come to camp in the best shape of his life. He was actually REALLY good for 2 months, but something didn't hold up. Maybe poor conditioning lead to mechanical letdown??
  24. Santana is a strong bet, I didn't think about that. More so the season than physical appearance begs BSOL a la Corey Hart in his BDOL camp.
