    Just got back from the game... loads of fun... Branyan rules..... Wes Helms got LOUDLY booed during pregame introductions. It was sort of uncomfortable. I am as happy as everyone that Wes is no longer getting any playing time but the booing during pregame was sort of harsh. Anyway.....4-2.....lookin good.

    bottem line...clark and Jenkins both came up at key times when they didnt even need to get a hit to help the team and they failed miserably. Clark needs to make that catch too. It wasn't that hard.

    How can you possibly tag the pitching staff for that loss? 0-12 with RISP did us in. It was a shamefull offensive performence. Jenkins sucked. Clark sucked. It was an offensive abomination DESPITE the fact that we got 16 hits. Just totally poor execution but Santos pitched fine, De la rosa was lights out and Turnbow was impresive. Phelps gave up some key hits but this offense has to come up bigger than that. Ugly.

    Jenkins is really underwhelming right now. He has to learn how to make contact in those situations. That was embarassing. I don't know if Jenkins can stay in the lineup playing like this.

    ugh....brady clark is developing a lovely uppercut. Thats just what you need with a runner on third and one out. Unreal. Not only did he pop out but his previous swings looked like he was trying to go onto the street.

    not only does de la throw gas, his off speed stuff is wicked. He threw a slider earlier for a ball that appeared to break 2 feet. holy smokes. thank you arizona.

    2 out of the next 3 guys were going to be lefties. Burnitz-Lee-Hollandsworth. It was a good tactical move but it didnt work. You can make the correct blackjack play and still lose. Its all about playing the odds to your favor. No gaurentees though.

    I know I get grilled for talking about swings but Weeks concerns me a bit because if just looks SO different. Its like he has a wiffle ball bat in his hands. The reason that concerns me is that (stay with me) no one really likes hitting with a wiffle ball bat. Everyone tapes them up to get some weight at the end of the bat. It allows the bat head to whip out and gain speed. Centrifical force and all that. Adding ounces to the end of a wiffleball bat allows much better control much like swinging a golf club is much easier than swinging a straight stick with no clubhead attached. I feel like RW would benifit from perhaps a skinnier handle and a heavier bat with the weight more centered toward the barrell end of the bat. Sounds odd but I feel like his wrists are TOO strong for the equiptment he uses. As I write this RW just laced a double, so maybe I should shut up.

    we are an overbay blooper from having 2 straight games where every starter gets in the hit column and we arent even playing at Coors.
