  1. I agree that Yost is a joke, I just don't see an issue with that lineup against a lefty. Do people really want Hart benched for five games? Weeks, if it was a righty pitcher, I am pretty sure we'd be seeing Durham tonight.
  2. So we're supposed to bench Cameron and Hart? Haha!! Give it a rest with the complaining about the lineup.
  3. What is wrong with the lineup? Just because Hart is playing over Kapler?
  4. The Braves either have half their core traded or on the DL. We're facing a very crappy left hander. Good mix to turn it around, my main worry is they are mentally carrying the Cubs series with them on ths road trip. Hopefully that is not the case.
  5. Well, we're not winning the division, that is painfully obvious. Have to just prevent from a complete meltdown now though. This series reminds me of the Cards/Braves series at the end of last year, where the team just completely melted down. Wouldn't be surprised to see this team go into a major tailspin after this series.
  6. Yost will rationalize it, saying Bush pitched really well "except for those two pitches to Edmonds". No players will say anything.
  7. It's wilting under the pressure of big games and pennant chases that is rearing its ugly head again. In 2005, yes the team wasn't that great, but the finished before the AS break 4 games over .500. What did they do in the second half? Worst second half after the all-star break by any team in MLB history. In 2007, they get up 8.5 games on the Cubs. They completely meltdown at the end of the year, the Braves and Cardinals series specifically come to mind where the team and Yost just completely lost it. Now, in 2008, you're seeing it again. The team is rushing everything and not thinking in games that matter. Meanwhile, Yost is just sitting there with a dumbfounded look on his face, almost as if he expects this to happen. It's a terrible team under pressure. That is why those expecting it to get better as we get deeper and deeper into the season I think are going to be disappointed.
  8. Two HR's to Jim Edmonds? JIM EDMONDS?????? Oh my good lord. Jim Edmonds has outscored the Brewers by himself the last three games combined.
  9. Game over. Great showing by the Brewers in this series. Radio off, time to get some work done.
  10. Weeks is a bum, plain and simple. He's making dumb plays and lack of effort plays. Inexcusable. 1-6 homestand, here we come!!
  11. Is there any doubt we get swept? I don't think so.
  12. At this rate we don't have to wait til the last series vs. Cubs to get our hearts broken.
  13. What is worse: A. Yost putting a hit and run on with the pitcher batting and the catcher running, a move that cost us a run B. The fact that the Brewers have not gotten a hit all series w/RISP C. Ned Yost's facial expressions in the dugout while the team is getting manhandled D. The team defense overall in this series E. The fact we have to throw Bush vs. Harden to avoid a sweep tomorrow F. A very likely 1-6 homestand after a 7-0 roadtrip, something only the Brewers can do G. Corey Hart since the AS break H. The fact that we blew a 3 game wild card lead in 3 days I. The fact that there are pathetic Brewer fans who sell their behind homeplate season tickets to Cubs fans J. The Brewers again going into choke mode with a pennant race on the line I'm going to go with a tie between A and F.
  14. Yep, this team in pressure games and down the stretch of seasons is mindblowingly bad. It's absolutely unreal.
  15. Sweet. Have to avoid a sweep against Harden. Ideal.
  16. Good news, Cards are about to win. Bye bye wild card lead!!!
  17. Is it just me or has Hart looked like a single A player since the AS break, on both sides of the ball?
  18. We won't even score 2 runs all game.
  19. Hmm, going against a sweep vs. Harden? No thanks. Stop losing at home please. Thanks.
  20. No, you are not right that after tonight the Brewers will still lead the series with the Cubs.
  21. I have very little doubt we get swept. That would be a total Brewers thing to do, a 7-0 road trip followed with a 1-6 homestand. It will happen.
  22. Or it could just mean we're facing a righty. But I agree, I think Hall is sitting just because he's sucked against righties since the beginning of time, Weeks is sitting because of the fact we're facing a righty and last night's debacle. Edit: Took out unnecessary part of the quote. Please watch what you're quoting.
  23. I was referring to Weeks giving up the lead late, the umpiring wasn't good at all either. Hart was clearly safe at third and Hall did get the tag down on Cedeno, along with him blocking the bag with his foot. I thought the Weeks call that was bang bang at first was the correct call. I'm not going to blame the loss on the umpires, but the Cubs benefitted more last night than the Crew did, no question.
