  1. Friday May 8th Sunday May 10th Both vs Cubs 2 tickets, section 321, row 2, on the aisle. Also includes preferred parking pass. Face value on tickets is $60 each (Club Infield, Marquee Game) Looking to get $120 per game - basically pay face value for the tickets and get the preferred parking pass for free. PM me if interested. Thanks.
  2. He didn't schedule a press conference to say these things. He was asked a question and responded. No coincidence. Braun's probably regretting signing the deal for several reasons (not enough cash, might want to play for a winner) and is doing whatever he can to make the most of a bad situation.
  3. Each sausage should represent a section in the stadium and Klements should pony up the $ to give the winning section a free sausage at the game.
  4. From JSOnline: When Macha was asked if he was concerned about catcher Jason Kendall's awful offensive start, he revealed that Kendall has not been 100% healthy. "He took a (foul) ball off the forearm so he's been playing a little dinged up," Macha said. So a hurt Kendall > a healthy Rivera I guess....
  5. My advice would be don't make too much money. The government hates when you run your life (or business in my case) better than they can and makes you pay for it http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  6. You have to face the fact that we're stuck with him. Nobody else wants him at that $, and even if he's moved out of the rotation, the first injury to one of the others means he'll be back. Just deal with him for 2 more seasons and in 2011 maybe we can have another "going for it" year with actual talent in the rotation.
  7. i want to vent about the brewers putting ads in the middle of the out-of-town scoreboard at MP this year. they used to show 4 scores at a time during innings and ads between innings. now it's score, score, ad, score even during play. really annoying and distracting.
  8. They also played Def Leppard's "Let's Get Rocked" for one of the Cubs' 384 pitching changes on Friday I believe.
  9. According to this: http://milwaukee.brewers.mlb.com/mil/ballpark/ballpark_guide.jsp it's near section 425. I think I remember reading that it's only open on weekday, non-marquee gamedays, but I could be wrong. Don't forget about the designated driver program as well - bring your parking stub to the booth behind home plate on the field level and get a coupon for a free regular soda, which are now much larger (and cost $4.25 normally) this year.
  10. Prediction: 77 wins This team will need to score a lot to win games, and I think this is the year where the injury bug finally bites some of the big offensive guys. Braun might never be fully healthy (despite what he tells the media), and I think several of the other big names will be on the DL. They have gotten very lucky the last 2 years without any major injuries to non-pitchers, but I think it may happen this year - just a law of averages thing. And with so many tickets sold already, I don't see Mark A. / Melvin feeling the need to spend any more $ to get anyone for this year to help things. Weekend home games will be packed regardless of the team's record. They'll draw 2.5 million and everyone will be happy in the front office.
  11. Hey everyone, the players on the Brewers don't actually work at a brewery. I think I need to start a thread ranting about that... http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  12. My advice would be to go in person to one of their locations (Mayfair, Southridge) and see if they can do some creative manipulating of your account to get another "package" price for a year. It's worked for me a few times.
  13. Ordered the Braves book from Amazon a few days ago. Lukas has taken quite a few pot shots at the Brewers though. For example I think at least 2 or 3 times last year he said how "bush league" we were for putting the logo on the pitching mound and how a real team (like his Mets) would never do such a thing.
  14. The harsh reality is, in this market, this is exactly what they have to do. It might be every 3-4 years instead of every 5, but this team can't afford to compete at an upper level every year. They have to pick their spots (like last year) and get a little lucky along the way with young guys and cheap free agents having big years.
  15. The Clubhouse Shop at Brookfield Square had the jerseys and jersey t-shirts last week with #18, FWIW.
  16. Got my opening day tix today as well. Club level, but they appear to be in the handicap section above the walkway - the tickets say row 8 (Club only has 7 rows in this section) and section 310ADA. Also got a general parking pass, not preferred as requested. And we all know having an advance parking pass means nothing on OD if you don't get there early enough because they'll sell your spot to someone paying cash.
  17. If they were real die-hard fans, they'd at least have a 9-pack with OD tickets at the bare minimum.
  18. I got the Marquee one, but I already ordered those last week (even better, at non-Marquee prices) by having a 20-pack this year, so it's of no real use to me.
  19. one of my favorite non-Brewer players. wouldn't mind seeing us go after him next year if the Weeks experiment is finally ended.
  20. Hart deal is done: http://www.jsonline.com/blogs/sports/39746477.html
  21. With the success the Brewers have had and the increased ratings FSN is getting, you'd think they could attract someone with actual talent, even if they would only be here a year or two and use the gig as a stepping stone like Trenni did. A temporary solution would be infinitely better than Telly.
  22. fyi, it's probably not the lens but the flash picking up all the dust particles in the air from the construction work.
  23. Home Depot's site has the Weber E-310 model for $299 + shipping. That model is $400-500 everywhere else. They updated it a little for this year and the new model is $499 most places.
  24. I'm thinking 2.7 million which assumes a likely scenario of a .500 team that is out of the race in early-mid September.
  25. the fact that they are doing the retro bobbleheads probably means we'll be subject to yet another year of the players wearing them on fridays. ugh. hey front office, we're good again in case you haven't noticed. no need to relive the past again and again and again...
