    I had a fear of this when the stock market started tanking. Attanasio runs a money management firm and Im sure he has lost a ton of money. Looks like we are dumping contracts right now instead of trying to win. I wouldnt be surprised if our payroll drops to the 60 mil range or so. Looks like its gonna be a very disappointing offseason.

    Financially the trade makes sense; its a straight up salary dump. cabrera is nothing more than a 5th outfielder and adds nothing to this team. he is essentially Counsell playing CF. The Brewers seem to be in total rebuild mode which makes no sense coming off a playoff season. I cant be the only one upset with the direction this team appears to be headed.

    This better not be cameron for cabrera straight up. Thats like trading Cameron for Gwynn. Is anyone confident in Melvin at this point?

    Jack Z got fleeced in his first deal. Maybe I shouldnt be so disappointed that he isnt our GM.

    Melky Cabrera is a terrible hitter and an average CF at best. I have seen him plenty of times and all I can say is he is not what we need. He is basically a slightly better gwynn. Is melvin just giving up at this point? Nothing he is doing is making any sense at all.
