    This Hewitt from Connecticut sounds way too risky to be taken at 16. I cringe every time I hear "high risk high reward" and "raw". When I hear these terms it tells me that a guy is more of an athlete than a baseball player and I dont like using ultra high picks on guys like that. Now I obviously havent seen Hewitt play but if reports are right that he is very raw then I would hate to use a first round pick on him. Second round or later maybe but not first round.

    Just take the best players available. Reaching for position need never seems to work out well.

    The more Eveland pitches the worse that trade looks. We sure could use him in our rotation right now.

    That is why it is just bad business to keep Ned around. I am sure that Attanassio doesnt run his other business this way so Im not exactly sure why he is allowing one of his employees to stick around when he has alienated his fan base. At some point keeping Ned around is going to hurt the bottom line.

    Attanasio needs to start thinking about his customers if he wants the crowds to continue piling in to Miller Park in droves. Its very easy to hate Yost when he is very arrogant and disrespectful of the fans along with his miserable managing style.

    Misery does love company but the Tigers were in the world series a few years ago and Colorado was there last year. I will take a world series appearance in exchange for a years misery. Problem is as Brewers fans we have had a ridiculous amount of misery since 1982.

    If Melvin gets canned after the season Jack Z deserves a shot as GM of the team.

    Thats the problem with Melvin, he is way too loyal to "his guys". That is the reason why he holds onto guys like Turnbow too long and why he is constantly looking to pickup his former scrub players like Nix and Kapler. It is that same reason why he is way too loyal to his managers.

    I think if this team wins 3 out of the last 7 games on this road trip Melvin will keep him. Its obvious by now that Doug is doing everything he can to let Ned keep his job. If he wasnt fired yesterday it seems to me that nothing short of an absolute collapse will get him out of here.

    With each passing day that Melvin keeps Yost as manager his credibility slips that much more. It also doesnt help that he seems incapable of putting together a decent pitching staff.

    Its comments like this from Melvin that make me think he is becoming as clueless as his manager. If Melvin actually think that Ned cheering his players on is a reason to keep him then it is time for Melvin to be fired as well.

    Seriously if Melvin cant see by now that Yost needs to be replaced then it is obvious that he is not the right man to be Gm of this team. Yost has had more than 5 seasons now and nothing has changed. This team still is terrible defensively and lacks any fundamental sense (baserunning, etc). A young team should improve and these young players with the exception of Braun are all regressing. That is a sign of an awful coaching staff and Melvin must be blind not to see it. If simple things like baserunning are not improving and young players like Weeks, Hall, and hardy are all regressing its a clear indictment of the entire coaching staff. Time to fire Yost or Yost and Melvin if Doug is too blind to Neds ineptness.

    The day isnt over yet but Im losing patience. Im starting to feel apathetic towards this team and Ned is the reason. When I saw the rumors this morning I was happy but now I feel like the air has been let out of my balloon.

    This day will be beyond disappointing if Yost isnt fired. Kremblas is really the only suitable replacement. Dale is dumb as rocks and Simmons looks like he has been sedated all year long. If Melvin cant see that the season is finished with Ned as manager its time for him to be replaced as well.

    If this doesnt happen it would be a major letdown. Please please please let Ned be gone and Kremblas be the new manager.

    I hope Yost gets canned today but Simmons is the wrong guy to take over. He looks as lost in the dugout as Yost and appears as if he would rather take a nap than watch the game. Its about time we cut ties with all ex Brewers. We should beg Davey Johnson to take the job and if he says no go to Kremblas who the young players supposedly love. Let Kremblas have the job before Simmons so he can clean house with an all new staff. There is no reason to keep clueless Dale on this staff.

    If Ned isnt fired tomorrow it sends the signal that Attanassio is satisfied with last place. They are completely giving up on the season if Yost isnt fired by tomorrow.

    If Yost isnt fired tomorrow it sends the signal that mediocrity and worse is acceptable. Three road sweeps in a row is ridiculous. Tomorrow is the day Ned gets fired.

    I was really bothered when Fielder was smirking after his little league error. Time to make changes. Im not watching another game till Yost gets the ax.

    I dont want to fire Melvin but at some point a GM has to put together a winning team.

    At some point someone has to held responsible for this team underachieving. This is a bottom line business and the bottom line is we are tied for last place if we lose tonight. Attanassio cant possibly think this is acceptable.

    Gwynn gets preferential treatment because of his last name. Face it the guy cant get the ball out of the infield and is a huge liability as a pinch hitter because of it. Im not the biggest Branyan fan in the world but at least he takes walks and has huge power.

    I have no issus with Fielder. Its hard not to be upset about getting paid 500k after hitting 50 homers when a guy like Counsell makes 3 mil and is garbage. Really Fielder cant be mad at the team over Brauns contract because we have tried to sign him as well. As long as he has Boras as his agent he will chase every dollar which means he wont be long for Milwaukee. As for Braun he is the greatest thing to happen to this organization since Yount and Molitor. I hope Ryan plays his whole career in a Brewers uniform just like rockin Robin.

    I expect 3-7 or so. Sweep in Boston, 1 of 3 in Pittsburgh, and 2 of 4 in Washington. Just have no confidence in this team right now especially on the road.
