  1. That would be Ned Yost. I wish he would stay out of the forum, its for baseball only.
  2. I was going to stay away from this thread during the game, but I am getting an overwhelming felling of deja vu with this game. If I hear or see anything related to a Canadian reliever throwing a baseball in the next hour and a half or so, I am going to lose it. Edit: whoops, doesn't matter. Game over.
  3. While it would sadden me, Melvin kind of has it coming since he stuck with the managing monkey heading into this season.
  4. Can't say there is anything wrong with the lineup with those players. Do you want Counsell leading off? Cameron in the 5 hole?I want Prince batting 9th, Kendall batting cleanup, and CC leading off.
  5. With interest in this club sliding, and the Packers playing well on Monday (i didnt watch a second of the Reds debacle #1)... the Brewers need to win now/today. Yes, I am calling it a MUST WIN! If they don't win today, management can put the order in for the same surrender towels they gave us last year. Lineups: Brewers 2B Ray Durham SS J.J. Hardy LF Ryan Braun 1B Prince Fielder RF Gabe Kapler CF Mike Cameron 3B Craig Counsell C Jason Kendall LHP CC Sabathia Reds CF Jerry Hairston SS Jeff Keppinger 1B Joey Votto 3B Edwin Encarnacion RF Jolbert Cabrera 2B Andy Phillips LF Wilkin Castillo C Ryan Hanigan RHP Bronson Arroyo Ned Yost and his lineup template can suck it. I can't wait until that moron is no longer in the Brewer dugout.
  6. Whose defense is well below average and whose dropoff from a "breakout" year was dramatic and came so quickly? 5 million is almost overpaying, and if an arbitrator would give Prince 10 mil over 5 mil, there is something wrong with the system. Breaking bats at home plate, slamming teammates in the face, and throwing tantrums in the dugout (Prince has a lot of maturing to do) do not spell a $10 million man to me. But maybe in the eyes of an arbitrator, 50 home runs a year ago does? I guess its possible.
  7. Why does Bill Hall continue to play against RH pitching... Why does Bill Hall continue to play... period?
  8. I came here to vent about the beginning of another Yostian collapse, but DJ43 did a superb job of conveying my feelings. Bravo. It looks like Ned has enough bad karma saved up for a thousand lifetimes of collapses. Even if this team squeaks into the playoffs, their embarrassment to hitting, fielding and the game of baseball will only be magnified. Their only hope of actually winning the WS would be if CC, Sheets, and Gallardo can pitch back to back to back to back to back to back to back to back to back to back to back perfect games. Maybe rluz can give us the odds of that happening. Hey Rickie your so blind, your so blind it blows my mind, hey Rickie... shameful 2B, just shameful.
  9. I believe most people were booing Ned's decision to take CC out, and then the booing was compounded by the fact that Gagne was replacing CC.
  10. I was fully expecting to see CC in the 8th. And you can talk stress level all you like, a pitch is a pitch. Are you trying to say, physically, the 120th pitch in a game led by 6 runs is different from the 120th pitch in a game led by 1 run?!? I can see your point if you would take the mental angle, but physically I really don't see stress making any difference.
  11. Ned Yost does not deserve to get paid for tonight's game. He should be getting his verbal warning right now. Next step is a written warning. Then discipline including up to termination. I know the Crew won and all, but the Milwaukee media completely wussed out tonight, big time.
  12. Its not only the Gagne usage, its the CC usage. He has no problem throwing him out there for the 8th and 9th and 130 pitches with a 6 run lead. But with his team clinging to a 2-1 lead in the middle of a 4 game losing streak, CC gets pulled after 7 and 106 pitches. Defies. All. Baseball. Logic.
  13. Reminds me of the South Park episode where they were trying to lose on purpose and kept winning.Haha, i think that one was on last night. Bat Dad is the greatest.
  14. I was typing a request for a FalkenBalk when JJ hit the winner.
  15. Thank God! I still really hate you Ned Yost, and after tonight I doubt that will ever change.
  16. I am done with this game after this inning. Please score Craig and win.
  17. Looks like Angel catches the 12th.
  18. Hmmmm... the More Taste League campaign sucked last year, and it sucks again this year. I am feeling so negative right now, even a win is going to anger me.
  19. For the second time tonight, why not go to the lefty against Giles? Man, when Ned gets on a role there is no stopping his cluelessness.
  20. The longer this game goes, the more I hate Ned Yost. I hate him so very bad. I wish he would just get out of baseball, he sure wouldn't be missed. The saddest part about this season, is that when the Brewers win the wild card, Ned Yost will almost assuredly be given an extension. He really tarnishes my love of this team. Give that man a wide birth, he is what you call a born loser.
  21. Does anyone have faith in Prince here? Anyone? Bueller?\ Edit: oops, forgot i paused the game for a minute.
  22. That series is looking catastrophic. And with 3 in Chicago after that, I could easily see us all burning our playoff tickets as soon as they reach us. Wow Prince, you never, ever seize to amaze me with your absolutely horrible defense. Good luck Boras, cause he's not even that great of a hitter either.
  23. Unless CC took himself out, Ned Yost should be banned from baseball for life. Edit: let me clarify, Ned is obviously gambling on the CC games. Today he had the Padres, cause he knew his offense wouldnt score any runs against the rookie.
