  1. good try craig, you'll get em next time.
  2. I wouldn't think Padres fans really care who is playing at this point, if i recall correctly.
  3. I can't believe how many people are "happy" mediocrity against two teams under .500. Good to see no matter what changes, some things will always remain the same. 3-3 = I can deal with it, not a problem per se Better = Brewer Fever Worse = I don't expect it, nor will I be happy. Do better than this. PS. It's Ned' fault that I now hate Craig Counsell.
  4. Coco cashed in on 3/4 of a great year. It makes me happy to see these division rivals spending big money on end of prime/past prime players. And to top it all off, the Reds give Dusty Baker the reins and have given up about 1/2 of their power threat within the last 2 weeks. That team might not contend for another decade.
  5. You have to admit though, the "sky is falling" approach seems to work better than the "rah rah beat the Cubs" approach did. I will promise to keep my Randy Quaid like "vile thing" comments off the IGT today, and maybe tomorrow (if the soups on). It should be easy, because by the time 9:30 rolls around, I don't even want to look at a computer screen.
  6. I need to go wash my hands, before i get any of this brewer fever near my mouth. I don't think i can handle a relapse, i'm too fragile.
  7. yeah lately we've been doing a good impression of nsbb...although not quite as extreme I give them credit, that site is hilarious and fun to read. You don't have people pooping on the funny bone all the time with the literal wag of the finger. Let me try... Craig Counsell sucks, get over it. Ahhhh. Or... the Nationals aren't that bad, only the worst team in baseball this year and only 30 games under .500. The Tigers were at least 187 games under .500 four years ago. They arent that bad. Peace!
  8. I think Jim said it needs to be 41,900 to be classified as a sellout. That is the seating capacity anyway.
  9. How about that for some scrappy hitting. I can taste the grit from here.
  10. Your forgetting Guzman and Bonifacio both of whom I'd take over Counsell easily. I agree. I was referring to today's lineup when I made the jest comment. I am not even going to try to figure out why Craig gets a start next. I will just put on a Ned Yost grin and look away. He. Is. Awful.
  11. I can get on board with this, but it would have to be someone who plays the infield. Belliard has a terrible attitude, and only makes those around him worse. Same with Milledge. Same with Willie Harris. None of these players have enough talent or upside to make up for their personality.
  12. I would take Harris, Zimmerman, Kearns, Milledge, Belliard and Nieves in Nashville, and most of those guys could fit on the major league roster, too. The current Brewers roster? You really think that? I would take Zimmerman over Counsell, and that is about it for me if we need to go literal.
  13. Uhhhhh.... If we had a 3rd baseman like Ryan Zimmerman, the Cubs might be looking up at the Brewers as the division leader right now. Because of his stellar 8HR, .312 OBP and .720 OPS? Yeah, I could see how that would get us another 5 wins.
  14. The Nationals are disrespecting themselves. We are just agreeing with them.
  15. I don't see any National in that starting lineup I would take at Nashville. Maybe Milledge, but probably not.
  16. Wow, the Nats are really, really bad. Bush was going to let them back in the game, but they couldn't capitalize. Thank you Nats!
  17. Someone tell me why Bush fears Casto so much.
  18. Yet they would not have any runs to show for it.
  19. Craiger with a gritty, battling type AB. Just wearing Mock down. Edit: Granted the result was the same, but Ned likes those battling strikeouts. I bet he gets a big pat on the ass as he heads back into the dugout.
  20. And that says a whole lot more about how terrible the Nats are than anything else Worst lineup ever? I'm thinking it could seriously contend with the worst of the worst. Enough messing around, time to mock this chicken leg and move on to SD. Hopefully they will be facing some good pitching, because they sure can't do anything against below average hurlers right now.
  21. The Reds are trying to give their fans every excuse they need to stay away from GABandbox.
  22. Cameron would instantly become the most feared hitter in the Nats lineup. He might even unseat Austin Kearns at cleanup.
  23. Wow is this National lineup one of the worst assembled, ever. Belliard the OPS leader at a robust .810.
  24. Rickie Weeks, you are awesome. :P
