  1. Mindboggling, isn't it? How anyone can support Ned Yost and his horrible managing decisions is way beyond my comprehension. Then again, so is trying to comprehend how some people vote.
  2. This is crazy! It's like groundhog day. Yost just keeps doing it over and over and over and over...
  3. I love how BA let the moment speak for itself on that inning ending K.
  4. Great to see a 2B that can turn a DP. To bad he's too old to start everyday.
  5. 25-1 Do it!
  6. If history holds, the Crew should win 5-3 tonight, and 9-7 tomorrow. Tonight is my first time sitting in a luxury box at Miller Park. Can anyone tell me what i should expect for food/drink options? It is up to whoever is putting in the food and drink order. There are a lot of yummy options, but my favorite is the chilled tenderloin dish. Hopefully they are also popping for the desert cart.
  7. Attn: Ned Yost David Riske sucks. Regards, Fans
  8. Check out the sportsline.com weekly power rankings. Dobrow rips on Yost weekly, and I believe is the only manager of the 30 teams to be ripped on weekly. This week was pretty funny: "Today's incomprehensible Ned Yost batting-order machination, brought to you by Lactaid: Half-assed analysis reveals that he almost always aligns the order by position -- 2B, SS, LF, 1B, RF, 3B, CF, C, P -- regardless of who happens to be playing that day. Somebody ought to tell him that batting orders are as easily customizable as minivans or birthday cakes."
  9. Yeah, remember when the NFL added Cleveland and no other team until the Texans? At least one team had a bye every week, including the first and last weeks, of the season. That was kind of a mess.
  10. There are 30 MLB teams, not 32. Your idea, to which i gave thought a while back, would put 15 teams in each league. That odd number of teams would require either an inter-league series throughout the year, or two teams not playing for 2-3 days at a time. (edit: nested quote --1992)
  11. Phillies need to lose I hate the Cubs, wish they lose Haiku is so lame Cubs hopefully lose Anyway both these teams lose? Cubs luck will run out
  12. Kind of the same reason Bill Belichek was the coach of the year in the NFL last year. Most wins usually gets you the award.
  13. Or keeping in a tiring starter for a career high in pitches to face Braun. Predictably he gave up a 2 run homer. So, that's two decisions in one game that would have had the Yost haters out in droves last night.Yost has done both of these this year, and the haters were out like it was a full moon, and deservedly so.
  14. Zilch. Its gonna be the old, decrepit, homeless looking walking pear on toothpicks from the south. Man, that dude looks like he gets lost on his way to the mound, but will still no doubt get the manager of the year award.
  15. My vent is on how terrible Rickie Weeks is this year. From my IGT post: Rickie Weeks (terrible, even before today's pathetic performance) = .228/.335/.380 Cubs Starting Rotation = .225/.388 (OPS, I am too lazy right now to figure out their collective OBP - I will give that one to talented kid Rickie) That is Pathetic with a capital "P." Use a bigger bat Rickie, or something. Try anything... close your eyes maybe. Just stop doing what you are doing now, and do something else! For the love of God, Ned is keeping you in the leadoff position even if it kills your career. Try something else!!!!!
  16. Rickie Weeks (terrible, even before today's pathetic performance) = .228/.335/.380 Cubs Starting Rotation = .225/.388 (OPS, I am too lazy right now to figure out their collective OBP - I will give that one to talented kid Rickie)
  17. Weeks, Riske, Counsell... swap whatever we have at Nashville with these three and there is no loss. Might even be an upgrade.
  18. The Brewers have 3 against the Mets too. I would not be putting the Crew in the playoffs at this point in the season. Its way too early, and Ned Yost is still the manager.
  19. Because Ned thinks he's good against righties? Lopez is a switch hitter, just fyi.
  20. I hate to say it, but Ned should have gone to Mota this inning. You would think getting the team out of a bases loaded, no-out jam would earn you a chance at some key pitching time. I mean, what has Riske done this year to prove he is worthy?
  21. Bad throw Hardy, but he still looked out. Edit: he was safe. This is a group effort tonight.
