  1. So the Angels have a clueless owner AND have a spot open for an outfielder with a history of substance issues and rapidly declining skills? We can finally trade Braun!
  2. I have this dream that Braun is sitting today because they are trading him, maybe to the Angels.
  3. "Hey Ron, A-Ram got 3 knocks last night, looks like he might be turning things around." "Don't worry Doug, I'll take of it." "Good, good." "Hey guys, just wanted to pop in to say you're doing a helluva job out there!" "Thanks Mark!"
  4. I just need to vent a little, if this even counts as venting, but anyway... I watched the Bucks beat the Bulls tonight, 92-90, it was a fantastic game and it hit me like a slap in the face how little hope I have for the Brewers. If you saw the Bucks game, the coach pulled a couple absolute genius moves at the end, was constantly firing up the players and in the frantic few seconds at the end, he was totally in control. I look at Roenicke and I KNOW he will never, ever be capable of that, it just isn't him. The Bucks have a roster full of really good young talent, a great coach and some owners who seem to know what they're doing, the Brewers have none of that and it just makes me sad. I was born and raised in Milwaukee, lived there for 35 years and have been to hundreds of baseball games and I have never felt this level of hopelessness about the franchise.
  5. JJHardy7 hit the nail on the head as far as I'm concerned. If people want to believe Braun didn't lie, that is their choice. It doesn't make it true. I might be the only one, but I read the "Worst Contract in Franchise History" part of the title, thought of Jeffrey Hammonds and then immediately threw up in my mouth.
  6. Todd Rosiak just tweeted "Mark Attanasio here today. Definitely not pleased with the play of the team. "I'm not looking at the manager or general manager."" So, my previous ten seconds of optimism are gone. Not even looking at the manager? What are you doing?
  7. "On your way out of Miller Park tonight folks, don't forget to stop by the Brewer Gift Shop where you too can purchase a limited edition Attanasio jacket. Personalize it like Mark did here with your prediction for Brewer victories in both the first and second half of the 2015 season!" http://media.jrn.com/images/brewers02-08-0f-x-wood.jpg-brewers02.jpg
  8. http://www.thinkbluela.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/12/Ron-Roenicke-AP.jpg And think, I get paid a lot of money to be in charge of this team!
  9. That and Jason Marquis is horrible/somehow still in the majors. But today he will go 7 strong giving up 2 runs. You're saying the Brewer offense is going to explode tonight for 2 runs? Brave prediction!
  10. This is a little off the subject but tied in, has Attanasio spoken out since the start of the year about the team's performance? I live in Arizona, so I don't get the local Milwaukee media and I admit I may have easily missed it, but I haven't heard a peep from Attanasio since opening day. I would think that given the way the team tanked last year, and the optimism during the offseason, that an absolute bomb of a start like this would stir some response. Maybe I did indeed miss it. If he hasn't said a word then I am not sure a managerial change is anywhere in our foreseeable future, sadly.
  11. I disagree that it is futile, and what exactly is the alternative? Running the same tired old guy out there night after night to make the same questionable decisions? A guy who has proven over the last 100 games or so that he can't get it done with these players.
  12. Well, with the exception of hitting, pitching and fielding, the Brewers are playing really well this year.
  13. Does anyone know the whereabouts of Jeff Suppan's pillow, Matt Wise's salad tongs or Jonathan Lucroy's wife when this "injury" occurred?
  14. I just read that the manager for the Marlins is "on the hotseat" after the team is off to a 3-10 start and seemingly has no fire in them. He also received a contract extension just a few months ago. I guess that just makes me wonder even more why Roenicke, who presided over one of the biggest late season collapses in history last year, and has guided the current team to the worst start in franchise history, just continues to skate on by with seemingly no pressure on him at all. No accountability from the ownership, no rumors at all about how he may have to get his *bleep* together, just nothing. I just don't understand why he still has a job. Maybe I am just missing all the masterful strategic decisions he nails during games.
  15. I'd say this team is a steaming pile of crap, but I don't want to insult steaming piles of crap.
  16. 4 innings to go, only 2 runs down and it feels like we have absolutely zero chance to win this game.
  17. Alright, we got the lead, come on Lohse, make it hold u.....oh, nevermind.
  18. Logan Schafer starting...so we've conceded today's game. Go get 'em tomorrow boys!
