  1. Nathan Kirby was filthy tonight. Lot of potential there
  2. I'd be totally cool with that if it involved Carlos Gomez
  3. With Gomez banged up again it might be tough to move him until he's fully healthy, I sure hope Mark A is willing to when that time comes Gomez' playing style and age will lead to additional hip, hamstring, back injuries as the years go by. The Brewers would be wise to trade him sooner rather than later
  4. I doubt Mark A will change his MO until there is a significant drop in attendance. Which may happen this year in July/August when Packers preseason gets in full swing, and may happen even more in April of 2016 if significant changes aren't made
  5. Heard they tried to hack into the Brewers computer too but all they could find were the words "swing at the first pitch" and a non-compete contract signed by Ken Macha
  6. Exactly. And then they sign someone else's "name" player once they are devoid of most value. Unless Mark A changes his ways, I fully expect Justin Verlander to be a Brewer.... when he's 38 years old
  7. I believe that Gomez, Lucroy, Braun, K-Rod & Segura have trade value
  8. Hart played 104 games at 1B for the Brewers in 2012 and it was the last good season he had. Obviously hindsight is 20/20 but trading Hart prior to the 2012 season would've really helped Milwaukee. Hart had a .334 OBP and 120 OPS+ and 30 HR's that season. Certainly good but not spectacular. A huge step down from Fielder's 164 OPS+ 38 HR's and .415 OBP the year before.
  9. True re OF vs 3B durability Most of his errors at 3B were throwing errors, if I recall correctly. I just figured that Weeks & Fielder were almost as abysmal defensively as rookies and they raised their game to "slightly below average defenders". Braun could've too. I think the Aramis Ramirez contract was a colossal mistake and waste of money. Don't want Braun at 3B? OK move him to 1B and trade Fielder. 1B after Fielder was historically (and hysterically) bad until Lind showed up. Could've gotten plenty for Prince in a trade. Or, deal with growing pains with Braun at 3B for another year or three until Prince left.... Hindsight 20/20 it did seem like a waste of a roster spot to move him to OF and have poor performance or cap space uses at 3B
  10. Since everyone is piling on Clancy I will say that in general I agree with him. Braun should've gotten a longer leash at 3B. I think in general Braun has gotten beat up more in the OF than he would have at 3B. Really I see him more as a 1B anyways
  11. Bobblehead Day is over. Time to deal Gomez.
  12. Really happy Scooter is back, presumably with his old swing back, too. He's by far one of my favorite players. Easy guy to root for
  13. Iskenderian has Doubles power. Played SS/2B/3B in college. Potential is more with the bat than the glove. Gotta like the .471 on-base percentage for the Hurricanes this season, though.
  14. I've seen Hanhold pitch a few times. He is fairly inconsistent but has some velocity & talent. If the Brewers can get him to be more consistent in the strike zone he could develop into a solid MLB relief pitcher. Pitches out of the bullpen for Florida. Reminds me a little of a RHP version of Will Smith who was taken in the 7th round
  15. Seen that too but that was my thought. Not signable for Milw's money pool left to sign likely Probably looking at a college pitcher in Round 6 then
  16. Luke Wakamatsu (Don's son) is an intriguing HS prospect. Probably a tough sign but a 6'3" SS with high Baseball IQ and a great bat
  17. Yes please. Discussion of the first 5 round picks should stay here though, right?
  18. The more I read about him, the more excited I am about the Trent Clark pick
  19. Blake Allemand is a ballplayer. Gritty but small (5-10 175). Projects more as a Utility guy
  20. If Everett is there @ 5, why not take him and throw a ton of money at him?
  21. Demi Orimoloye is considered a very high upside type of talent. Lots of raw skills.
  22. Absolutely. He's 18 years old though. He could/should develop more strength/velocity
  23. Apparently Walters has touched 95mph
