6'5" Texas A&M recruit. He is "what they look like". Brewers must be confident they can sign him and that he is projectable. Fastball cruises @ high 80's/low 90's right now
  2. 3and2Fastball
4 straight RHP's at the top of the 3rd round
  3. 3and2Fastball
Tobias has a really great glove at 3B. Seen him make some ridiculous plays this season.

Cabbage is a good athlete. His swing right now is strictly as a pull hitter, he'll need to work on that or hit a ton of ground balls into the shift if he makes it to MLB. More of a raw talent prospect right now

I am very happy that they selected a player with a rep for having a great eye at the plate and high OBP. I think I've seen enough free swingers in Brewers uniforms in the last 10 years to last a lifetime or two

Kind of a weird looking swing from Clark and as others said somewhat of a tweener. Think they missed on not taking Daz Cameron. I'm glad they didn't take a college starter just to take one though
  7. 3and2Fastball
Would be disappointed but not surprised at the Brewers taking a college pitcher with a low ceiling

I think Beane was looking longterm at Lawrie's potential (which I still think is there) and figuring Donaldson would break down physically before too long. Also cut a lot of salary cap $$$ for the A's. It is no surprise that Donaldson would have some success hitting in Toronto

Not if there is a Bobblehead Day coming up!

really looking forward to watching Peterson & Perez in this game. Love watching fringe players/bubble players battle when they get their opportunity in the show.

what a long road it has been for Shane Peterson. He first played AAA ball (and successfully, too) in 2011. I really hope he does well http://www.baseball-reference.com/minors/player.cgi?id=peters002sha

I am the same way. Players like Herrera (and in this case specifically Herrera) often become my favorite players
  13. 3and2Fastball
Cravy was pretty awesome. That was fun to see
  14. 3and2Fastball
The Brewers at 18-34 are only a game "ahead" of the Phillies for the #1 overall draft pick in 2016, and only 1.5 games "ahead" of the A's
  15. 3and2Fastball
Perez played 2 games in the Outfield, 3 years ago, in the Venezuelan Winter League. Does that count?
  16. 3and2Fastball
I'm not clear as to why Perez would be considered better than Herrera, other than being 6 years younger. I suppose it doesn't matter tremendously but Herrera is a far superior hitter http://www.baseball-reference.com/players/h/herreel01.shtml

Hernan Perez is 24 years old and has a .149 OPS (that is not a typo) in MLB ball this season He hit .287/.331 in AAA ball in 2014. He can play every infield position and has mostly been a SS. He is 6'1" 185, bats right, throws right and is from Venezuela

The Brewers as currently put together do not aquire, draft or develop the pitching needed to contend for a World Series title. That is why the entire front office, scouting staff and farm system needs to be significantly upgraded.
  20. 3and2Fastball
Maintain what for 7 years? 2 playoff appearances?
  21. 3and2Fastball
I'll skip it this lifetime, but I'm happy for those who enjoyed it or will enjoy it

Seems as good a place as any to post that I am very happy to see both Davis' walk rate increase and his production vs RHP increase so far this year. Granted it is just 1/4 of a season thus "small samples" but it is a good sign for an age 27 year old player. I'd be thrilled to be wrong about Davis, as I've posted many times that I see him mostly as a free swinger who can really only hit LHP. (edited for typos)

Few catchers in anyone's system are as good as Lucroy. That is why his trade value is tremendous
  24. 3and2Fastball
The earlier a player is dealt, the more value they have for the team that trades for them. Makes sense from a leverage standpoint Also would be good to deal Carlos Gomez earlier in case he reverts more & more towards pre-2013 career norms

I will remain a Brewers fan but I won't buy any more tickets until at the very least Doug Melvin is fired. Our extended family always gets together for one game a year, so tickets are already bought for that game in August, other than that I won't spend a dime on Brewers tickets or merchandise. I'll watch the games on TV, especially to see my favorite players like Segura & Scooter. Looking forward to seeing Wagner pitch. Hoping we get some exciting prospects in trades this year. Excited about the possibility of a Top 3 Draft pick in 2016
