  1. 2020 Lauer is back. I guess Godley has been pitching well for Nashville.
  2. Amusing reaction from Castellanos on the horrid strike call. Between that and having a fan take his interview, he's become the best troll in the game.
  3. Peterson wasn't on the 40-man, had to be re-added. Interesting that they went with another left-handed bat. I thought for sure Hernan was the favorite to get the call.
  4. [sarcasm]Would he have to run his fingers through Burnes' hair?[/sarcasm]
  5. The odds-on-favorite is...
  6. Now that's a pitching line: 3IP, 0 hits, 0 BB, 8 K Wow. What can anyone tell us about Carlos Luna? Looks like he's already 24 years old, so not a real young guy for High A ball. But, is this someone that has a big arm that might be able to be at least a bullpen arm down the road? I know nothing about him other than he was the one who got assigned from rookie ball to AAA to start on the last game of the 2019 season after the roster was gutted, and he ended up having a great start. Looks like it was one run in five innings.
  7. And unscored on in 22 of 25 appearances, including 8 in a row. He has been very good. No problem with the choice here.
  8. Taylor's crushing the ball after the recall (actually, since being optioned down). Not sure if he tried an adjustment, brief change of scenery, or just the natural ups and downs.
  9. If Hader isn't available, I think Burnes has to go back out. A combination of Milner/Boxberger/Suter/Williams to cover three innings isn't encouraging.
  10. Oh no! How dare he! I certainly don't care. Just making an observation and guessing it is a scheduled off day. Edit: And I was wrong. [sarcasm]Waiting for the last minute scratch due to "flu-like symptoms".[/sarcasm]
  11. Nice timely hit. Glad more than one finally came across out of the bases loaded no out situation, one way or another.
  12. Also think Ashby is a possibility in the second half. Good way to get him up, limit innings, and try to help the pen. Expect we'll see Sobotka as part of a shuffle since he's on the roster. Bit of a leap, but Dylan File could also be in the mix if he comes back strong from the injury. He's been throwing off the mound for a few weeks now and expected to be back late June/July and is on the roster.
  13. I'd say yes, but that will be all. Maybe let him go if he was on a 120 pitch pace, but 135 is a no go.
  14. If you're looking for the Burnes/Peralta of 2018 profile where a highly-regarded starting prospect comes out of the pen and throws electric stuff for an inning or two, I think Aaron Ashby is closest to that.
