54 strikes, 43 balls 2 WP Decent numbers overall, but I think they need to see him throwing more strikes and going deeper before he's getting recalled.

Nottingham played a fair amount of 1B in AAA this season since he was splitting time with Freitas at catcher. Might as well give him Aguilars ABs while he's up instead of playing video games in the clubhouse or whatever he's up to besides getting to play baseball.

He would have been facing the top of the Twins order for the 4th time this game. Not that the results would have been any worse, but statistically speaking, that's a bad idea. He's proven he can get their lineup out three times in a row. I think it's a good idea to keep him in the game. Counsell's overthinking is stinking. I agree with the decision. Was putting up zeros but getting hit pretty hard. Bullpen just dumpstered the game on us.

Literally on the mound at this very moment. In AAA. He had a couple rough outings earlier in the year that skewed his ERA up, but largely been good. I also liked his stuff when he was up here.

Really? Yep. Was it even close to a drop? I thought it was close enough that he would need the umpire to make a timely and clear call and go off of his cue to be sure either way.

Not bad for a team that didn't score enough runs to win, only hits home runs, has a weak rotation and lackluster bullpen.

Whoa, a rare Bickford mention. Would imagine he gets assigned to Carolina again, if not Appleton. So no progression, or even regression after three years. Hard to believe what looked to be a steal with the Will Smith trade turned out to be a bust, and that despite Smith needing Tommy John shortly after the deal. -
Horray, thanks to Grandal falling asleep off the bag now we only need to go 0-2 with RISP this inning instead of 0-3.
