  1. Petricka to Appleton, which makes it seem like he either won't be down long or it's a paper move for a couple days until he goes back to San Antonio.
  2. Joey also enrolled early for the spring semester last year, which used up his redshirt. So not only sitting out a year, but he only gets to play two. Really bad look. Have to think Wojo is out if he can't win in the tournament next year, or at least make it and put together a heck of a recruiting class. I really can't get excited for MUBB anymore.
  3. It's not already? Now that our starter crapped out again and Colorado's threw a one hitter, we're officially in the dumpster.
  4. Nah, if this keeps up, he isn't going to get the chance. They aren't going to leave him in the rotation to continue getting shellacked. Considering how Anderson ostracized himself in Counsell's eyes for this very reason, I can't see him having infinite patience with Burnes. Not with two experienced starters in the bullpen and legitimately the entire AAA rotation being viable replacements.
  5. A game that everyone wants to end, so Perez decides to be patient.
  6. A lot of bums in this bullpen. Our best pitcher besides Hader is a guy who throws a mean "change up" from his 80 mph fastball.
  7. I guess Hader is basically just a traditional closer at this point, until CC has confidence in someone else. I don't know that I have a problem with that.
  8. Did that quick shot trick me or did Arcia, already amped up from the home run, just chug a Red Bull in the dugout? There's an early game tomorrow, dude!
  9. Getting even more obnoxious than the Bobby Bonilla deal. Interesting note in the story below on tax implications though. Could be appealing to some players if they can get a reasonable interest rate on the deferrals plus compound it by moving to a tax-free state once they retire, at least until states catch up to the trick. http://www.espn.com/mlb/story/_/id/16650867/why-mets-pay-bobby-bonilla-119-million-today-every-july-1-2035
  10. It's 41 in Cincinnati. Why's everyone acting like it's 15? Including the fans, given that there's no one there.
  11. We get that there are six people at the game so everything can be heard, but they can stop whooping for attention anytime now.
  12. 88th ever immaculate inning, compared to 299 no-hitters. Though it's the 13th in the last two years. Brewers have five: Doug Jones (1997), Sheets (2004), Rick Helling (2006), Fiers (2015), Hader Three against the Brewers: Brandon Backe (Astros, 2004), Kimbrel (Sox, 2017), Jose Alvarado (Rays, 2017)
  13. There's a way to reduce game length. Replay doesn't correct calls, so no point of wasting the time with it.
  14. First base for the sexually inexperienced. Left field also has problematic connotations. Honestly, this one just makes more sense logically since you're calling it what it is. It'll take some getting used to in order to stop referring to it as the "DL", but sending our injured players to Illinois sounds like a hoot.
