  1. Going up there hacking against Devin is certainly a strategy. A really bad one.
  2. Suppose it's better to try it after Willy got a couple hacks in than earlier in the count.
  3. Another on the well-known player most people forgot was a Brewer list
  4. The one thing Hicklen might have been useful for, and he can't even do that.
  5. Our offense lately suggests we might get two so they can use up additional pitching in extra innings. Where they'll put together some of the worst at bats this side of AA.
  6. A third baseman, but Chapman gets the ballpark deal we were thinking as a floor for Adames: 6 / $151M https://www.espn.com/mlb/story/_/id/41130330/giants-3b-matt-chapman-reach-6-year-extension-worth-151m
  7. No, but he does have enough experience in left. Considering the ABs we're getting from OFs not named Chourio, it might offset the downgrade in defense to put him out there.
  8. Another extra innnings coin flip. Sigh.
  9. Sticking Haase in left against LHP is probably a better idea than hoping Hicklen can hit. Not great, but has enough experience out there.
  10. What I don't quite get is why this isn't an IL stint. I hear "velocity is down", "dead arm", "scheduled AAA appearances". Isn't that what the IL is for? He's probably going to take five or six days then resume what are effectively scheduled rehab outings in Nashville. All I could figure was the Brewers used up their cache of phantom IL placements that MLB will tolerate. But there's a more legitimate injury concern here than with Milner, Mears, or Wilson.
  11. The good news is we can send Elvis right back down.
  12. I was prepared to be robbed there in one way or another.
  13. 2-7 hitters are 0-23. Now would be an ideal time.
  14. If it's going to be a coin flip, we should just have a home run derby.
  15. The only man in major sports to get jiggy with three different championship teams in three straight years, going from the Braves in '21 to the wild, wild west with the Astros, then to hitch himself to the Rangers last year. Currently a man in Royals blue.
  16. If we called him up when he was tearing it up in June it would perhaps warrant more patience. But after hitting .162 in AAA in August, I'm not seeing the point of putting him in front of MLB pitching in the midst of a prolonged cold slump. Our options aren't great given it's Perkins' weaker side and Frelick has light splits, but they're still better.
  17. I'm ready for the Hicklen experiment to be over. Sal is good enough against lefties and didn't have a .562 OPS in AAA last month.
  18. Quite the blowup over a correct call.
  19. Hoskins finally heating up...ah crap, it went crooked.
