krod type signing, low risk, high reward

Obviously. But for not playing a game, if he wants to come back to play for Milwaukee, he couldn't have had a better season by his replacements as incentive for Melvin to want him back. this

I wasnt aware there was a Fielder on the Brewers anymore

Aoki Segura Gomez Lucroy that is how the top 4 should be every single game until ARam comes back, and until he gets traded.

spot-on. I bought a special baseball at the Hall of Fame last year and I'd like to get it signed by my favorite childhood player eventually. Not sure this would've been the event to make that happen, though. in the 80's my dad mailed a ball to Selig with a letter asking for him if Molitor could sign the ball for me, that he was my favorite player, and 6 months later on christmas morning I opened a box to an autographed baseball personalized from Paul Molitor to me. best present I ever got in my life, ever. go to the event and see if you can get his auto.

YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS long stretch of games without a day off, its probably to keep arms from getting overused

when does he make his brewers MiLB debut? today?
  21. torts
Mike Fiers broke his arm in June and is out for the season. Seems like a lot of people might be unaware of this. oh wow, i had no idea. did that get no press by JS?

man i love listening to uecker at work.

"Not motivated" is clearly Doug Melvin's public version of, "I'm listening, other GMs." I don't think we can read anything one way or the other into comments like that. The only thing "not motivated" right now means is that he hasn't yet gotten an offer he likes. I'd expect interest in the Brewers' pitchers to really ramp up this week & up into the deadline. 5 or 6 days is practically an eternity when it comes to the trade deadline. Loshe will get another start before the deadline, too, against the Cubbies
  24. torts
yeah, I realize that, but he was first groomed as a starting pitcher, ignored his batting skills for the better part of two years before ditching pitching and just going back to hitting. I also realize his A+ stats arent too great, but I think he's someone if available, milwaukee should at least consider taking a flyer on
  25. torts
Actually, he is allowed to work out with the team on off days and before games. On the radio the other day Lucroy said he was not allowed to have any contact with the team until next spring. Maybe he was mistaken. he's mistaken.
