  12. Full circle for Cooper if he ended up in Milwaukee
  13. Did we just potentially avoid another hiura? If so, I am 10000000% glad for the sanity of this forum
  14. The brewers ownership is now 18 groups, that a quick Google search told me includes members of the Lunar, Marcus and Uihlein families, as well as Harris Turer of the Admirals and Giannis.
  15. Ohtani apparently has an opt out if max walter loses majority stake in team or andreew Friedman loses his role as prez of Baseball Ops
  16. Pirates sure do love to recycle brewers huh
  17. I'm not against deferring money from contracts, I just think there needs to be a limit per year in the CBA. Like you can only defer 50% of the contract value for as many years as you want. If MLB had a salary cap, the aav of the contract would be the cap hit (like the NHL), but we don't have that, we have a lux tax based solely off the paid contracts at the end of a season. So a team who will spend to that tax threshold each year gains an unfair advantage to "less rich" owners and franchises, especially when they know the tax also impacts potential draft picks.
  18. This is within the rules of the current cba, but I bet this forces a change when the next CBA is negotiated. An Ohtani rule to prevent teams from abusing contracts/tax avoidance
