  1. Man, I feel like we’ve caught every break in the book so far in the first half of this season.
  2. Waller having his way with us. Not a shock.
  3. Another call that shouldn’t have been made. Dumb dumb refs.
  4. The Raiders have a couple of nice tight ends. Must be nice.
  5. To be fair, it’s probably still fun to do.
  6. Didn’t look like much of a push on that PI
  7. It’d be great if our GM could find a diamond in the rough via a trade at either of these positions so we don’t have to pay through the nose just to have a competent lineup.
  8. Is that the worst loss of all time for Wisconsin in regards to spread? 31 point favorites might be hard to beat.
  9. This is a big day with Chryst for me. To lose this game. He might not be the guy for this job. That take will get backlash and I don’t care. You don’t lose to lousy teams with as much talent as the Badgers have.
  10. Just can’t turn the ball over there. And that’s an understatement if there ever was one. This is a well-deserved loss upcoming.
  11. Offensive line just isn’t as good as recent years. It’ll probably be the thing that holds them back this season as Coan looks solid with Cephus in the picture and we know what Taylor can do with some blocking.
  12. I mean they’ve held Illinois at 1-7 on third downs and have given up 180 yards. They also got a turnover that lead directly to a TD.
  13. Bummed that he got hurt. Not good for the game to lose a star like that and I wanted to see he and Rodgers square off. You only get so many of those matchups. I think back to when Favre and Manning duked it out in Indy.
  14. Huge problem! Navarez is one of, if not the worst defensive catchers (-30) in all baseball. Plus Stearns would have offer big prospects to get him. He is really a DH who catches. Good catch. I've changed my mind. He's just too crappy defensively to justify him being the main catcher.
  15. The year Gretzky scored 92 goals (in 80 games), the next closes had 64 (Mike Bossy). Same with assists that year. He had 120 assists and the next closest was Peter Stantsy with 94. So while numbers were up, he still shattered the competition in his era. I think Gretzky could slap on the pads today and find a way to get to 40 assists just based on his hockey sense alone.
  16. Many things have changed in the game since Gretzky played but other guys weren't putting up Gretzky numbers or ever close to it during that time period. He was in a class of his own. Hockey is also the ultimate team game. You don't win championships with just having the best player as you do in the NBA.
  17. Catchers move a long differently than other positions. He's not a 4A player. He will be 25 next season and needs to do a bit more at the AAA level before cementing him into being on the 25-man roster. He will probably get a shot but I'm just not ready to trust going into next season with him.
  18. What Gretzky did during his time in the game will never be matched by anyone in their sport, ever. If you really dive into the numbers, you'd think they were made up they're so ridiculous.
  19. Yeah, I don't quite get that trade. I'm all for moving Hiura if the price is right but that certainly isn't it.
  20. Omar Navarez would be an ideal platoon guy with Pina. Navarez vs. RHP: .287/.358/.431/.790 (Career) Pina vs. LHP: .271/.339/.399/.738 (Career) Navarez could start about 100-110 games while Pina picks up the rest. Plop that production in the 7-hole and we'll be fine at the catcher position. I'm fully on board with trying to pry him away from the Mariners.
  21. If it wasn't a Monday Night game, the uproar would have been a lot quieter. Nothing else for people or media to talk about. These types of (bad) calls happen all the time in the NFL. It is the norm.
  22. Yeah, I don't understand how the NCAA can be so much better at this than the NFL. I mean, look at what is successful at the college ranks and adapt.
  23. So....to recap. You stated as a fact that the Packers had struggled scoring in the red zone this year. I pointed out that they were 5th in the league. And that's triggered? It's not cool aid pal, it's facts. See, you can say something's true because ONE part of ONE game stands out, but it doesn't make it so. I never mentioned red zone in any of my posts so your recap nor your original post is factual. That usually happens when you’re quick triggered.
  24. They haven’t exactly been that great at it this season. They've literally been one of the best in the NFL at it. They've got the 5th highest TD pct in the red zone. But now they can't get 6 inches? How many of you guys are actually Packers fans? A 5-1 team that's beaten ever team in their division, a division considered the best by some, a division in which everyone's over .500(or was before Detroit fell to 2-2 tonight). And some people are fighting WAY too hard about how a incredible 35 yard pass and catch might have been 6 inches short of a TD....with over 9 minutes to go. The Packers have struggled inside the 5 this season at punching it in. They probably do score but it’s okay to point it out. You can still be a fan of a team and point out something. You get awfully triggered when everyone doesn’t drink the koolaid with each post they make. Might want to tone down the questioning of people’s fan hood though. It’s a bit unbecoming.
  25. They haven’t exactly been that great at it this season.
