  1. That's what I was thinking. There is a place for Williams to spell Jones, but it's not for 12 touches and 35 plays a game, in my opinion. I agree. I love watching Williams run the football but I just don't think a straight-up split during games is necessary. But who knows, maybe Jones had something going on.
  2. Aaron Jones would've already put this one to bed if he wasn't on the sidelines to end the 1st half. Guy is a stud!
  3. Really,...? They're #4 in the league. How dare you confuse subjective perception with facts. That's not allowed around here.
  4. Has it been since he’s had one blocked? That’s what it feels like to me. Maybe rushing a bit.
  5. Definitely looked like he broke the plane on second effort to me. Unless he had the football shoved up his rear like Allen tried doing, yeah, he got in.
  6. Love that they capitalized on that turnover with 7.
  7. There’s something about this that makes it pretty funny.
  8. Investing so much draft capital on that side of the ball and receiving so little production in return explains >75% of their problems. With a few of those picks spent on offense, maybe the offense never stagnates like they have since 2015? Investing in it was the right move. Rodgers needs a run game and defense as he ages. But I’m not sure we have the right leadership in place to actually make it happen.
  9. I wonder if those that were so up in arms about the field name change have come back down to earth and realize that Miller isn’t even a company anymore
  10. Nothing will change with this franchise until they find a defensive coordinator and GM that know what they’re doing on that side of the ball. It feels like a decade of “missed assignments”.
  11. What are you doing Coan...
  12. At least the Minnesota-PSU offenses were fun to watch. This just sucks. Edit: oooooooohhhhhh Jet Sweep!! How innovative. Now we’re cooking!
  13. I mean does it really matter for anything now other than just a talking point? We won't be in the CFP. The only way we're playing in a New Years 6 bowl is if we run it, Minnesota takes another loss and we win the B10 Championship. If we hadn't lost to Illinois I could definitely see us wanting to face a highly ranked Minnesota opponent but now it just doesn't really affect anything. It gives a shot to play in a top bowl game. I guess if you don’t care about that now, then you didn’t care if Minnesota won or lost. But them winning and us still having a chance to run the table is still a shot that I want even if I don’t think this Badgers team could pull it off.
  14. Eh, like I mentioned before, let them get this one. We win out and they stumble against another opponent. Win-win.
  15. Having Pomeranz/Hader/Claudio as lefties coming out of the pen is a true weapon and I really hope they can figure it out with his agent.
  16. Do we want Minnesota to win this so we can have a win over a “good” opponent if we happen to get on a run?
  17. Doesn’t feel like much.
  18. I can't, for even a second, pretend that the Red Sox would want that offer from the Brewers for a player of quality such as Bogaerts. I mean, imagine if we were trading away Yelich for that mess? This place would burn itself to the ground.
  19. If Pettine lets McCaffrey run wild on us, they should really think about making a change in that department, maybe even before the season is up. At some point, he has to be held responsible. He needs to come up with a plan to take away their best player. That is one thing that good D coordinators do.
  20. DST makes more sense for northern states than it does for the southern ones.
  21. People complain about other people usually because they don't understand those people.
  22. I don't think it's that simple. Part of it is scheme, and part of it is having a QB that doesn't trust the guys at the position. So much of that offense's production is predicated on receivers knowing where to go to find an open spot when Rodgers scrambles and comes out of the pocket. Guys like Nelson, Cobb and James Jones just had that innate ability to find an open window for Rodgers to get them the ball. This new crew, especially MVS, hasn't found that ability yet. We are starting to see it more with Lazard ... which is why I think we're going to see him become the de facto #2 WR through the rest of the year. Rodgers seems to trust him, and looks for him when plays are breaking down. When was the last time you say MVS catch an outlet pass? I LOVE MVS's potential, but he's still so green. It feels like you just described to me the Brewers starting rotation compared to other teams that have the ability to spend money. This isn't the NFL. Go out and get some real players at these positions. We make so many excuses for these guys because they are Packers. They have Aaron freaking Rodgers as their QB and can make it happen. Lazard is no ones #2. He's a good story stepping in for this sad sack of WR's and that is about it. Hell, put some weight on him and he's probably more serviceable than Jimmy Graham. Not that it's too hard to beat these days.
