  1. Ozuna waves at a slider. Grandal sets up outside for a FB and Chacin throws a 90mph FB on the inside corner which ends up in the seats. Just awful. Edit: Repeat FB to Molina to the seats. This time at 87mph.
  2. Gio Gonzalez had four major-league offers since opting out of his #Yankees minor-league contract before choosing the #Brewers. There were nine teams that expressed interest. Wonder if a couple of those Twitter guys that predicted/sourced this signing will flex their Twitter muscles today at all. Edit: Brewers Bob for the win.
  3. He's finally starting to hit. Hard to sit him now. There might also be the realization that he is no longer anything special. There is no reason to save him for the stretch run. Last 7 days: .263/.333/.579/.912 with 2 homers, 2 runs, 2 BB's, 4 RBI's Tough to sit a guy that is producing with how little we have had from others lately.
  4. I like it. Make the trade.
  5. I wonder if they are thinking about platooning Yelich to play in just home games this season.
  6. I don't disagree. But it is what it is. Braun is gonna be looked at as a starter as long as he's on this team. The best we can hope for as fans is that he finds a few hot streaks and helps carry the offense in short bursts. Santana was never going to displace Ryan Braun in the lineup, no matter how much sense it made. Santana had his opportunity to do so last season and stunk up the joint. He basically had the first two months to produce and there was a good chance he would have taken the spot away from Braun and he flatlined.
  7. I agree but I will say struggle is putting it lightly when talking about our pitching.
  8. He's got a -0.4 WAR for this season and he led the dumpster fire inning last night by a ridiculously bad play on a popup. It's well deserved. I also gave him credit yesterday saying at least he's still hitting for power. Other deserving candidates like Aguilar and Shaw are definitely getting just as much grief as they should.
  9. Ah, remember when we thought we had a gem with Wilson? Put him back on the scrap heap pile.
  10. Sure a lot of barking about Braun lately and he’s actually been pretty good over the last week. Time to point the finger elsewhere for a bit maybe.
  11. Sending Thames to Toronto to finish where he began.
  12. I am not happy at all with our current pitching or pitching coach. I do think we need to have more data though. If those numbers are around the same in another month, it will start to be very telling (and annoying).
  13. Chalk this game thread up to the brewerfan.net HOF. Yikes.
  14. I mean, did you really expect anything more? I guess I’d hope we would pull a rabbit out of a hat somewhere, sometime, with this organization and pitching. I’m on board with firing the pitching coach. Too many of these guys getting hit hard.
  15. I figured that since I saw it in two places it was worthy of a share. Not that I totally believe either of them.
  16. It was a poorly located pitch to a really good and hot hitter. Not much more to it than that. Back to back L’s on homers is just not good.
