  1. Remember when people wanted to bench Braun? Yeah remember that when thinking about Shaw and his struggles. Patience. He will hit.
  2. Cool story Ender, you do you and keep on keeping on with your high quality posts. You seem like a real likable dude. The guys a knob. Has all these people on ignore yet somehow gets their posts all the time. He must make some big money in the front office of a baseball team or something.
  3. I'm not sure why this thread needed to be created a the beginning of May. You could be sellers in just about any year, even in years where there are WS aspirations. We pretty much have 2 1/2 months to play out to see if this is the route we need to go. Creating this thread on May 2nd is just so Brewerfan.net lately all you can do is chuckle.
  4. And how is this optimism?
  5. Hope the Brewers start winning soon. The boards have taken a turn for the worst with a few new and a couple resurgent posters. Sucked the life out of this place lately.
  6. Shaw has a sub 300 OPS against LHP this year (729->285) Using him vs LHP at this point is irresponsible. Managing his at bats vs lhp is one thing. Never seeing a lefty is the irresponsible thing.
  7. Hard platoons is just not a good way to use your roster. CC knows this and won't ever stick to just one lineup versus a certain handed pitcher. This is a video game type talk.
  8. I don't remember the details but did we "let him go" or did he go to Cincy because it was closer to family?
  9. If Corbin wants a starting spot, then he needs to start being reliable. So far this year he has flat out stunk. Heck, even if he was throwing up near an average stat line, he'd still be in the rotation. He can work the pen if he does his job there. If not, then send him back to AAA and start him there to figure it out. That's coming from a guy that wanted all three in our rotation. It can't just be given because they are young and promising. They have to show something that warrants their place.
  10. It's silly to give up on anyone at this time of the season. Hopefully, Counsell keeps managing peoples playing time and getting all of our players producing.
  11. I enjoyed Domingo and like him but he just doesn't have a spot on an NL team. He is a 5th OF if needed and a DH daily. We just don't have room for that type of a player on this team whether he can hit bombs or not. Gamel fits our team and it was a good trade that was made by both teams. If you're keeping track of this trade don't forget about Noah Zavolas. He's off to a good start in Carolina.
  12. Maybe we can trade Burnes to the Reds so he can get the coach he obviously needs. /half blue
  13. A week ago Santana was the guy that got away and Gamel was a 4th OF at best. Some of you change like the wind. Pretty comical stuff
