  1. Congrats Plush and Eye Black. We had 3 other 15-9 guesses, including myself, that were oh so close!
  2. My confidence after that Cubs series, and then the first three games of the Pirates series that completed the 11 game winning streak, was shaken by the last 8 games before the AS break in which they went 2-6 while scoring just 19 runs. The series in Cincinnati, the White Sox series, and Friday’s comeback win, provide some more solid evidence that the offense can produce runs against teams other than bottom feeders. They also were completing like 34 games in 35 days at that point. Stuff like that matters.
  3. By what standard would you say the Brewers offense was good or very good in May? Moral of the story is that it isn’t May anymore, and they haven’t performed poorly in two months. And he wasn’t anointing the Reds as Central champs in May. Is was like 2 weeks ago.
  4. Adam McCalvy @AdamMcCalvy Replying to @AdamMcCalvy Craig Counsell on Eduardo Escobar starting a Major League game at first base before he's done any work there: "He's a baseball player. We're not sending a baseball player into a basketball game here." Amen. I love this quote.
  5. Games with less than 3 runs on the season: Mets- 36 Padres- 35 Brewers/Dodgers- 30 Giants/Reds- 28 It happens to them all. Even the top offense in the NL. The Brewers offense hasn’t been as bad as some want to make it sound. Heck, there’s more evidence showing even before the deadline that they were above average.
  6. Just when you thought we might be in the clear. Here we go again. Can’t wait until restricted fan bases for playoffs.
  7. Just read some IGT’s that are 1-2 weeks old. Yes, there has been great changes made but the agenda by the loudest is that our offense stinks even though outside of April, this team has been good to very good in that department. It’s a great thing to feel the hush of that crowd but they’ll be back out in full force the next cold snap.
  8. #Brewers team batting average since: May 22nd: .241 (Tied for 19th in MLB) June 1st: .248 (Tied for 13th in MLB) June 15th: .257 (8th in MLB) July 1st: .265 (Tied for 4th in MLB) July 15th: .290 (Best in all of MLB) That agenda of how terrible our offense is has gone away. Far, far away.
  9. I’m thinking about going. I’ve never been. Was hoping for a cheap ticket.
  10. I’ve liked letting our guys go deeper and get out of things. Tonight just didn’t feel like that should’ve been the case. A rested pen. Guys that need to be sent down. Use them and get this W. Now this inning could be a mess.
  11. Yelich isn’t sitting for Taylor. This just isn’t how the Brewers operate. They mix and match lineups all the time. They’ll all get at bats. R-e-l-a-x.
