  1. Outs are the most important thing in baseball. Starters get more outs over the course of a season. If he can start and do it well, he should. That being said, he was so electric this season and with all of the other young arms itching to get in that rotation, I understand why they are doing what they are doing.
  2. Realmuto is about the only position player I may actually be okay with giving up Hiura for and it would still be tough. But, you would be getting a premium bat at a position where there are so few (if any). It might really be worth it for this team to take that next step. I will say though if Realmuto is the only acquisition and we do not trade/sign other guys, then don't do it because he alone isn't bringing us to the promise land. We need bullpen depth badly if we are inserting Peralta/Burnes/Woody in the rotation.
  3. Like Joey said, if it is not Realmuto, giving Nottingham the gig would be just fine with me. If you are not clearly upgrading, then let the young buck get out there and hope he is the catcher of the future.
  4. Go get Realmuto and Goldschmidt and win the whole thing. (half blue) 1. Cain- CF 2. Yelich- RF 3. Goldschmidt- 1B 4. Realmuto- C 5. Shaw- 3B 6. Braun- LF 7. Hiura- 2B 8. Arcia- SS I love your (admittedly “half-blue) enthusiasm, but how exactly you think acquiring both Goldy and Realmuto while hanging onto Hiura would be possible sounds like a humdinger of a story. Make that a tragedy, since we’d have to watch all of our young arms (Burnes, Peralta, Woodruff) pitch in other uniforms for the better part of the next decade. Don’t get me wrong, the Crew needs another impact bat or two to really have a good shot at a title, but eliminating one of the team’s core strengths (really THE core strength, besides defense) to fix the offense seems like a lateral move. Oh my ask is completely unrealistic and would never happen. That’s for sure.
  5. Moustakas was fine but he would be an overpay. Just isn’t consistent at getting on base.
  6. I’ve already seen improvements from this defense under Pettine. If he’s okay with letting him go, I’m good with it. Dix always seemed to be in the wrong place at the wrong time.
  7. Go get Realmuto and Goldschmidt and win the whole thing. (half blue) 1. Cain- CF 2. Yelich- RF 3. Goldschmidt- 1B 4. Realmuto- C 5. Shaw- 3B 6. Braun- LF 7. Hiura- 2B 8. Arcia- SS
  8. Disappointing end to that situation. Third round pick that seemed to never really find his role.
  9. I actually think Montgomery is elusive and makes people miss. He hasn't been doing that lately out of the backfield but a couple of seasons ago, he was one of the best in the league in this category. He is probably frustrated with his role, having switched positions and such, but he just made a decision that will likely cost him any trust the Packers have in him and it may be hard for him to find a good dollar amount this offseason. Hopefully, it will be another case where he ends up coming back around and producing a big moment for us. But for those that want to see a lot of Jones, may just very well get their wish.
  10. What I don't buy is Montgomery saying he didn't want to put it in the refs hands about bringing it out of the end zone. He was clearly inside by a couple of yards. Pitty card is a hard buy when you are clearly lying. What is pathetic though is those fans that would say stuff to his wife and such. My god people, it is just a game. Your life still sucks whether they win or lose.
  11. After watching Whitehead play, I appreciated HaHa that much more.
  12. Feels like Taylor should be 30 years old at this point.
  13. Kershaw would be foolish to leave Dodger stadium at this point in his career.
  14. I’ve said my peace. You tried to dismiss me. Then continued to post condescending remarks further on in the thread. You are right in one area, I could’ve ignored you like I usually do. I didn’t tonight. Is what it is but I’m glad I stood my ground with you as you continue to try your bully tactics. Have a good night, sir.
  15. Quoting someone and saying "Enough of this" is exactly what kicked started it. It is a jerky way to reply to anyone on here. It is trying to quiet my voice on here, for no reason at all. Dismissing someone because you do not agree with them is just such a bad tactic. It deserves to get called out. It is truly amazing that you cannot see that. You can keep talking about me being intent on an argument but what exactly have you done here? Argue. And, again... if you can't see how saying "are you actually a teacher" is condescending, whoa buddy. I don't know what to tell ya. Irony is written all over your posts. I don't tell you how to feel, ever. I did say that I think it not the time to crap on McCarthy as tonight, they team played well in a lot of ways and you could see the growth on the field. You could've easily responded to that disagreeing without any of the rest of the jerkiness.
  16. Just pointing out that you swore. Against forum policy, right? Well the forum has a filter which was not triggered, and it was your completely unprovoked insult that I was quoting, so you may not want to die on that hill. Are you actually a teacher? Pretty condescending again! WHOA! I know you don't see how you come across, just got tired of your posts telling everyone how they must see this team. It got old awhile ago. We get it, they wasted Rodgers golden years, yada... yada... yada. And if you are quoting something, maybe try getting the quote right? ... right?
  17. Just pointing out that you swore. Against forum policy, right?
  18. Uh oh. Someone is not following forum rules!
  19. Even in this post you're a know it all. Too funny.
  20. Man, you are being a tool. That is all. Says the guy calling people tool and telling them to "blow it out their rear" One person on this thread stepped way over the line and hint hint, it was you. Hopefully you get what's long overdue. Not being peppy Peter over a team that is yet again very disappointing doesn't give you license to a) be a jerk or b) circumvent the rules. Your condescending responses is what began it all. You can get your negative point across without it. You seemed to never figure that out. But I’ll just agree with you so you can be happy. The Packers are everything you say they are. You’re right. Everything you post is gold.
  21. Man, you are being a tool. That is all.
  22. Enough of this. Yes he is getting crapped on, as he should. They were in position to win this game and there are multiple points you can point to where he made a bad decision. He's definitely getting fired at the end of this season. BG probably wanted do it when he got the job. Blow it out your rear buddy. They played a good game today. Tons of positive to take going forward. The loss stings but they should’ve had an opportunity for a big win on the road. I’d be willing to bet you had them losing by two scores. Go be a Debbie downer towards someone else.
  23. MM still getting crapped on? The Rams are a really good football team and the Packers gave them everything they can handle.
  24. Scott has been great pretty much all year. What s time to shank one.
  25. Defense looks tired and McVay beginning to isolate against Whitehead who is brutally bad in coverage.
