  1. You don’t get fired if you did nothing wrong lol.
  2. Tells you what they think of Woodruff. I know ... that doesn't make the decision any less curious, though. There must be something internal, because based on pure stuff, there aren't many pitchers in the system that have better than Woodruff. Well results do matter too. Freddy has had good numbers even with a couple oops games. Woody never seems to make the most of his chances.
  3. I know the experience he's getting is good. Just tough to give it to him with a playoff-contending team. Well we are facing one of the options to replace him. So... yeah. Grass isn’t always greener and this guy could be a keeper for years to come. These opportunities for Milwaukee haven’t come that much. I expect Burnesnext season to get a chance too and won’t complain if there are times he looks like a rookie.
  4. Didn’t that ball hit to Shaw yesterday get ruled a hit too? This official scoring officially sucks. I believe you are correct. I’m tougher on my high school kids.
  5. Woodruff wasn’t getting the call. Better luck next year for him.
  6. Almost wonder if that was by design? Could you imagine how Gute is going to be viewed if they trade Hundley, get Rodgers' extension done, and complete a Mack trade/sign all in the matter of a few days? That dude would be able to walk on water in Green Bay for the next year! Especially when they go on to win the SB this season.
  7. $15.4M free’d up. Let’s go get Mack!
  8. Can we stop with this misinformation... While it was true that the Brewers were on Hamel's no trade list, it is also true that he said multiple times that he would waive the no-trade clause to go to a contender!!!!! The second part negates the first part... That doesn't mean that if the Brewers and Cubs called offering a similar package that Hamels, with knowledge of this, couldn't have influenced this...or maybe the Rangers could've thrown him a bone as well. Bingo.
  9. Gausman wasn’t cheap.
  10. Oh great. Fire Counsell posts are flying. Is this Twitter? Good night
  11. Chris Archer says hi. Could you even imagine if Stearns got Archer and he pitched the way he has? I couldn’t check the forum with all that mess going on.
  12. This. You mentioned that the starting pitching doomed the season in an earlier post and while they could definitely be better, this statement is the real reason we are trending the direction we are. Albers Knebel Williams Soria Barnes Among others a huge reason this team might not find themselves in a playoff spot.
  13. I don’t understand why or how he’s overrated. His team has improved each year. We were technically supposed to be in rebuild for quite a bit longer. All GMs have moves that dont pan out. All of them. But the one thing you can’t take away from Stearns is that this team is in a much better place today than when he took over and going forward. Don't overlook how Melvin got it started. Melvin acquired Hader/Houser/Santana/Phillips, Davies, Knebel, Diplan, and Lind (who Stearns flipped for Freddy Peralta). I agree. I think what Melvin did in his time as the Brewer GM is very underrated.
  14. And he’s still building while winning 85+ games a year. Any other Brewers GM do that in our history? Don’t pretend like that last number means much when he used a large chunk of that system to acquire our best player since MVP Braun.

  16. Didn’t he do really well in his minor league rehab assignment?
  17. ...it was a seeing eye single. One that maybe a rang-eee two bagger might get.
  18. Not so fast ... Brew4U, thank you for maintaining your optimism. I know it can be rough with this team. I’m back!
  19. I was so excited to watch this one tonight. What a let down. Bah, on to tomorrow for me.
