  1. -Davies wasn’t good this year... check. -Davies was good for multiple years before this year... check. -Davies is only 25 years old... check.
  2. I don't want to start contention, but part of me in the back of my mind wonders if Josh Hader may be stretched out as a starter at some point as well. If they are following the "Chris Sale Schedule", this would be the offseason to do it. Love having him in the pen, but the idea of having a young, dominant lefty in he rotation for the next several years is certainly intriguing. Yeah, I didn’t even mention him because I want him in the rotation but don’t want to even get my hopes up for it. But yes, agreed with your post.
  3. They should. I mentioned it earlier in the season but that team could’ve took a step back this year to take a huge step forward next year if they had made some moves. It’s hard to blame them for trying to get in the playoffs but they haven’t been healthy from the start and they could have “reloaded” in some sense of the word and became a juggernaut next season. They seem destined to never reach the top with Kershaw.
  4. Davies is easily written off by Brewer fans and I get it, but it is very foolish to do. He may be a huge August/September addition if he’s right. Nelson Anderson Davies Chacin Peralta Burnes Woodruff Guerra Thompson That’s a lot of arms to find five worthy in 2019.
  5. We don’t seem to mind tossing Peralta out there or sticking Hader and Burnes in the pen. I hope Woodruff works out but there might be a reason he’s not getting his opportunity this season considering he’s older than those three.
  6. bats been doin pretty good lately. Just continue keeping LHP away from us and we will be fine. We have better stats against LHP this year.
  7. My advice, and you can tell me to get lost, but the Brewers aren’t always in the mix. Sure it can be frustrating when things don’t go our way but I am trying to enjoy the heck out of this run. If we don’t get in, yeah it’ll suck but we endure all the crap seasons so that we hopefully can enjoy a playoff season at some point too.
  8. Two of three the rest of the way and i would bet we find the post season.
  9. Jennings was the right call last night. It just didn't work out. Those things happen.
  10. I'll stick with Peralta over paying that contract. Freddy has a future with us next year and he has shown flashes of brilliance. Be patient. Please... please be patient.
  11. I love watching Ryan Braun bat right now. It is just so much fun to see him do his thing. Trying not to get my hopes up again but he has been hitting it hard for so long this season that it gets me a little giddy. Need this W!
  12. Interesting the Stearns was on saying that Peralta doesn't have a innings limit.
  13. Keon and Arcia are frustrating players. Not because he didn’t just hit us a 3-run bomb to win, but because they possess such talent and neither may ever hit enough to do much with it.
  14. Both of our catchers are getting hot. Nice to see
  15. Soria and Albers back soon hopefully...but only if its first half Albers. There is plenty of talent in that pen. Just gotta get them pitching like it again. But hey, maybe we can fire our bullpen coach again lol
  16. I liked the move to Jennings. He’s done well versus lefties this year and had he done his job, it would’ve left Suarez in the on deck circle. Managers can only do so much. Players have to execute. Lately, half the bullpen isn’t executing and it could be our downfall.
  17. Stearns doesn’t have a magical touch with lefties.
  18. I’ll admit, I was starting to wonder if we were off base with it but he sure has looked great lately. So fun to see him doing this. Would be awesome to see him have some huge moments down the stretch.
  19. Well he does have a spot backing up 1B when Braun is healthy because Braun can play left field. That is still a solid amount of ABs in a year. The problem is when Braun is unhealthy (often) and he ends up in RF. That just should not happen. Probably safe to trade him in the offseason though and save the money. Santana should get another chance next year and that already gives us 4 OFers with Braun able to play 1B. Shaw can obviously play 1B in a pinch if Aguilar is banged up/taking a day off and Braun is injured. Both of you make great points and in a weird way I agree with both of you. I was advocating for Stearns to trade Thames before the deadline because there simply wasn't any room on the roster. Thames just has no business playing in the outfield, but he is a very viable backup for Aguilar at first base. I don't think Aguilar is an every game player and he needs an occasional day off. I should’ve worded my first sentence better. Of course he has a place on this team but it’d make more sense without him probably. Shaw and Braun both can be Aguilars backup. I’ve even been in favor of moving both Aguilar and Thames and going with Shaw and Moustakas next year. But that might just be me.
  20. Thames just doesn’t have a spot on this team. With the way Braun is swinging it, and Aguilar of course, he should be a PH only right now.
  21. Please don’t let this be one of those annoying games where we go quiet as the other team just chips away at us. Just put em away please.
