  1. It just doesn’t work that way.
  2. Looks like he can’t handle being in LA getting struck out by a 22 year old rookie like that. (Blue just to make sure)
  3. Counsell and Peralta... ice in those veins. Awesome!
  4. Which would flat out suck.
  5. [sarcasm]Man are you obsessed or something?!)[/sarcasm] But in seriousness, him in the 3 hole right now would be incredible. Tonight’s up with him: Cain Yelich Realmuto Moustakas Shaw Braun Thames Arcia And that’s with having Aguilar on the bench. Would be so fun.
  6. Maybe he could use it, but on a playoff-contending team looking for consistent starting pitching, that can be tough. Yeah it won’t be a rest of the season thing anyways (innings limit) but they are 5-3 in his games he has started and could possibly be 6-3(He is 4-2) if they can hold onto this one. It’s not like he’s costing them games in the standings. The growth that is probably happening for him right now, pitching in a pennant race, working through jams and rough patches... I’m glad they’re letting him do it.
  7. Peralta is a 22-year-old kid with command issues. You're telling me he wouldn't benefit from some more time in AAA? Seems pretty cut and dry to me. He could use exactly what he’s getting right now. It’ll pay dividends for him. These guys have to go through this stuff sometimes. Patience is the key.
  8. Maeda must not be “ready” yet either? I don’t get comments like this. Peralta is a young pitcher. He’s ready. You just have to show some patience with a kid going through some of these battles.
  9. Are we even one of them? Doesn’t feel like there is room for him. I’ll just take Villar back to fill in for Shaw. Ill take Dozier over one of Saladino, Perez, and Villar. Dozier ain’t coming to be a backup and Mouse/Shaw ain’t sitting. Villar is crushing lefties so he fills in perfectly. He will be nice to have as a bench guy. There’s just no room for Dozier.
  10. I will say that it doesn’t feel like the IGT’s get too crazy on the west coast. So that’s a positive.
  11. Are we even one of them? Doesn’t feel like there is room for him. I’ll just take Villar back to fill in for Shaw.
  12. Or be the next Peralta...Wily Peralta. Yeah, you just don’t know but I would like to see what happens. It sure would be nice to see the Brewers finally bring through some young pitching and have success.
  13. Oh great. I already have trouble staying up for these games.
  14. Peralta-Burnes is just so exciting for next year. It’d be so fun to watch these guys grow as Brewers.
  15. Of course not every pitch of his sequence was terrible, but Braun not even just putting a hanging slider in play was a killer. It. Happens. I know we are fans and we are ultra critical but the AB’s were fine. Not always going to get the results. We just are really critical because we have been so bad in those situations. Had those guys hit weak crap or struck out on three pitches or swung at multiple balls, I’d be right there with ya. This just wasn’t one of those instances to me.
  16. I like both at bats by Braun and Thames. This isn’t slow pitch softball. They both worked counts. Fouled pitches off. Hell, Thames almost made it 5-0. Even Pina had a good AB.
  17. Good inning to get the pitch count up. Stinks to only score one but hopefully we can get to that pen early tonight.
  18. Stros-Sox will be those years World Series. Those teams are pretty great.
  19. Unsettling to say the least. I really don’t want to mortgage the higher quality pieces we do have for Archer.
  20. I don’t know if I’d sell either if I was the Mets. Go get bats in the offseason and compete next year.
  21. Who is going to keep updating this thread title every hour is the real question.
  22. As much as I want it to happen, I can’t see it getting done.
  23. Random... Derek Holland (Giants)
  24. He was. The tweet was 9 hours ago so that explains Brach.
