  1. Back to boycotting Brewers games if that is the lineup. I will not watch when Sogard starts. Bum.
  2. Post removed for violating the board policy on language
  3. Again, what would be your alternative? Sogard is consistent at SS, his arm is below average for the spot...but he makes the routine plays and has decent range. All this boo Sogard, but if you can't mention a viable alternative it just sounds like whining. They just found a catcher give a shot to, why not do that? It is "boo Sogard" because I'm tired of giving Counsell players that he will end up playing too much. Is that whining? Sure go ahead and call it that but this move is flipping ridiculous. He wasn't even hitting in Colorado Springs. Perez, Sogard, and I'm sure Saladino will follow suit soon. Recipe for a disaster of lineups.
  4. Sogard isn't a good shortstop. His noodle arm barely makes the throws. This guy flat out sucks and this move flat out sucks. I bet Villar shed a tear today knowing that no matter what he does now, he will lose starts to this clown.
  5. Unless this is a way to move Kratz to AAA and bring up Bethancourt or Nottingham, I'm scratching my head on this one.
  6. I don't understand this move. I mean I get moving on from Jett. But I do not get this move.
  7. Could Franklin be transferred to 60-day DL and gain the 40 man spot? I'm not sure on how bad his injury really is or if that would end up costing the Brewers a lot more money on him but it might be an option.
  8. Dude came off the DL and went 1 for 4 in a game where there was no one really hitting but here you are berating just him. It's been old for awhile. You're stuck on it. It is what it is but if you can't see how often you write these "write-ups" about Braun, I don't know what to tell ya. You may end up being very right on this issue but it won't make how you've gone about it any less crazy and annoying. Entering mentioning Khrush and Gennett territory now.
  9. If Boone Logan doesn't make a turnaround, this guy has to be in the equation.
  10. I would love to stabilize our lineup and defense by adding Perez and Merrifield. Our lineup and depth would be insane.
  11. Wasting your breath. Some people will hate just because his last name is Braun and they don't want him around anymore.
  12. Because he didn’t somehow make the entire team hit well.
  13. Mercedes Lewis just signed. TE looking good with him, Graham and hopefully Kendricks pulls his head out of his rear.
  14. Because up until this point, there has been no indication that he will be. Maybe that will change but as of right now, it is pure speculation that he will sit for others to play. It will all be decided on the field though. Either Braun will start to hit or he won't and then he probably will see a reduced role. Same with Aguilar. Either he will continue to hit, or he won't, and then he will see a reduced role. As with Thames when he returns. Let's not pretend like he's some sort of a given to produce. We've seen his dry spells a year ago and there was a reason he had to jettison to Korea in the first place. These things will play themselves out and the Brewers will hopefully be in a better place for it as they have plenty of guys who can/should perform.
  15. Interesting story. Will be really interesting come July or so and he's still tearing the cover off the ball.
  16. Not sure how this slipped past us but Mercedes Lewis would be a very nice addition to the Packers. While older, he graded out really well in the run blocking department and is a pretty good red zone threat. Hope this happens as I want to see us develop that running game this season.
  17. [sarcasm]Not sure if I should start a Jonathan Villar appreciation thread or not but I wasn't sure where to put this...[/sarcasm] Villar leads the Brewers (min 100 at-bats) in pitches per plate appearance at 4.31 This is a really good sign. His K-rate is still about 31% but if he's seeing a ton of pitches, hopefully, that will tick down a bit and the BB-rate (6.7%) will tick upwards. Either way, he is becoming a part of the success the Brewers are having rather than an anchor dragging down that lineup.
  18. Saladino may get a few more at-bats but I can't imagine them moving Arcia out of a regular spot. He's so valuable defensively and we have seen those pay dividends already this year with our pitching and defense. There is a reason we are off to the best start in franchise history and it isn't because we have big boppers like previous Brewers teams.
  19. Well these next 3 years are going to feel like forever, that's for sure. I hope so. He’s gonna lead us to at least two World Series wins in those three years.
  20. Braun’s back and this is this optimism thread so no one can go negative on that!!!
