  1. Three hit night for Arcia. Hopefully coming out of it.
  2. JJ does it again. Hopefully he can find three more. Come on crew, get at least one more across.
  3. He has not played well this year, he has a .629 .653 OPS and plenty of the usual stupid/lazy defense and baserunning mistakes. He has 5 BBs and 27 Ks
  4. Yelich and Braun too. Both of theirs went for outs though.
  5. And Arcia better get to every ball in the infield the way he hits. To some extent, I agree. Pina has been such a let down though.
  6. I love the Reds fan that was giving the dinger sign on Perez’s homerun.
  7. Pina is going to have to throw out every base runner with the way he’s hitting.
  8. You could say that about a big part of the MLB line-up right now. You're right, though. Oh, there is no doubt about that. He would be up on a lot of other clubs, we just happen to be deep in his position right now. If he played 2B, SS, or C... he'd be up in an instance. But that probably speaks more to the lack of quality players at those positions than really anything else.
  9. If Brett Phillips didn't have a hole in his bat at times, he would be an every day major leaguer already.
  10. This is one of the best things written in this thread. We do tend to use WAR when it fits our agenda it seems.
  11. Always a sad thing when a high prospect can't get out of their own way. Happens a lot to people.
  12. I love not even having to question if it is on TV or not. So much nicer knowing all games will be covered.
  13. So far Hader has said all the "right" things when being asked about his role. It will be very interesting to see how that plays out with him and the organization as he continues to have such great success in the major leagues.
  14. \ I am available starting at the end of May. I'd whip Arcia right into shape.
  15. Machado to LA makes so much sense it is a perfect fit.
  16. Coles might be a lousy MLB hitting coach but it isn't because of what he did as a player. That is a pretty foolish way to judge how good a coach someone is or will be.
  17. I'm just very worried it's going to be a "careful what you wish for" situation when we see Miley inserted into the rotation. The starting pitching hasn't been a problem ... it's been the hitting. But I guess the answer to that problem is to shake up the rotation? I would be willing to bet that Wade Miley is much closer to the struggling upper 5 ERA gas can that we've seen the last couple years, than the decent pitcher we saw in Spring Training and one AA start. I don't know this for a fact but I think they feel Miley can do what Suter is currently doing in the rotation and it just shoves that depth that we have down a notch. They might also see it as an opportunity to get Suter back to the role he was successful at last season. The quick hooks seem to be a trend so Suter will find himself in use a lot. I mean, if Miley blows up, it probably is a pretty easy move to go back to Suter or bring in Woodruff. And if Miley ends up being a 4 to mid 4 ERA guy and can give you 5 innings of solid work, then it is a bonus to this team.
  18. Well put Joey Meyer Bombs. We have some really high expectations for a lot of our players that are just not realistic. He's done his job so far and given his team a chance to win just about every game, which is what you hope for from your #4-#5 guys.
  19. On pace to win 92 games but I think they will win 100 or so.
  20. Well he can if you sell him high for someone that could help out at those positions. Teams know what he is. Numbers are a bit inflated right now.
  21. Braun’s been our best hitter the last two weeks even being stung with some bad luck he’s posting damn near a 1.000 OPS
  22. I am to the point where the mental midget of Villar is just too messed up where he might not be able to be saved. It looks like his swing has changed even to try to put the ball in play more but now you see hesitant swings instead of free-flowing ones. In 2016, he played loose and it showed. Do I think he is a player to repeat his 2016 numbers? No. But he should be somewhere near them probably but he can't get out of his own way. He will probably end up elsewhere and he will probably find some success. It is just too bad it most likely won't be in a Brewers uniform. He seems like a fun, caring guy to have around a ballclub.
  23. Maybe in the finals. Not the first round. He at least carried his team a distance.
