  1. Peoples heads will explode when Saladino is called up and not Dubon.
  2. Awesome at bats to start this game. Even Braun’s strikeout at bat was quality. Keep grinding this guy out of the game.
  3. I’m not sure. So I guess it wouldn’t matter then. Good catch.
  4. It’s not really a Counsell thing. It’s pretty much how they all operate. [sarcasm]If they would’ve just traded for Realmuto, he could bat 5th and Thames 6th and problem solved.[/sarcasm]
  5. I knew they wouldn’t, but I thought the exact same thing to stagger the Lineup Yeah I hate that they can pop in a lefty at Shaw and Thames with no on in between to make them pay.
  6. I think they should go: Yelich- RF Cain- CF Thames- 1B Braun- LF Shaw- 3B Villar- 2B Arcia- SS Nottingham- C
  7. Thank you to the both of you. Well, his numbers look good just about any way you cut them right now. Hopefully, that continues. It would be fun to have him in the bullpen because it gives you some versatility with a bench bat.
  8. Good find Outlander. I must be terrible at using the search feature.
  9. If we had spring baseball here in Iowa, I'm not sure my school would field a team. We would lose so many to track (and possibly golf). It would be quite sad.
  10. Taylor Williams needs to start pitching better when he gets his opportunities to not give the GM reason to keep other guys like Drake around. Drake isn't good but when you support a 1.600 WHIP (Williams) so far, you are not giving anything extra for a reason to the GM to keep you around.
  11. To be honest, I could've sworn that we had some sort of thread like this that tracked his march up the leaderboards but when searching I could not find it. If there is, a mod is more than welcomed to morph all that together. It was cool to see Braun give a shoutout to Fielder. Always forget how much of a beast he was as a Brewer. They were so much fun to watch.
  12. Anyone know what his splits are?
  13. Braun also had this to say about reaching that 1,000 RBI milestone: Per @AdamMcCalvy After reaching 1,000 RBIs, Ryan Braun mentioned his most prominent teammate over the years. "For five or six years, I had Prince Fielder hitting behind me, so people never wanted to walk me to get to him. You’re just getting a lot of opportunity.”
  14. Braun's Rank - Stat # = (Leader and Stat) 1st in HR- 306 (2nd- Yount- 251) 2nd in RBI- 1,000 (Yount- 1,406) 2nd in SLG - .539 (Fielder- .540) 2nd in OPS- .903 (Fielder- .929) 3rd in SB- 195 (Molitor- 412) 3rd in 3B- 45 (Yount- 126) 3rd in 2B- 347 (Yount- 583) 3rd in Runs- 942 (Yount- 1,632) 4th in Hits- 1,711 (Yount- 3,142) 4th in Average - .301 (Cirillo- .307) 4th in OBP - .363 (Fielder- .390) 4th in BB- 514 (Yount- 966) 5th in Games- 1,472 (Yount- 2,856) 5th in At Bats- 5,685 (Yount- 11,008) *A mod can do this better if they know how to list it but I thought it was interesting to follow after last night and him reaching 1,000 RBI's. Edit: I put them in order based on his ranking.
  15. I'm sold. Drake is my new favorite player. Getting my shersey ordered this afternoon.
  16. I guess I don't know what type of player you would want him to target? I mean, he has targeted a lot of different kinds of players during his short run and seems to want to include a few guys that provide defense in a lot of areas so you have coverage. I don't see anything wrong with that. It's not like there are just guys on the streets that are hitting .300 everywhere they go.
  17. He should. All he has done is produce as a reliever.
  18. Domingo hit .197 last year in April. The rest of the year he went .291/.380/.511 Exactly why a straight benching would be such a wrong move. We definitely overreact (because we are fans) around here and that is exactly what the Brewers should not be doing.
  19. I don't think either Perez or Sogard is in trouble. I believe this was a straight depth move. If either of those two gets an injury, now they have this guy to bring up and cover them.
  20. Santana won’t be “benched” per say (and he shouldn’t be) but he will get some time off probably beginning today if Braun didn’t hurt himself rounding the bases last night. Or I’m sure Perez can step in for a game, I guess.
