  1. The 2011 team was 0-4 and 14-20. They were middling around .500 until about mid July. Great points. We found out last year that it is not how you start it is how you finish (Cubs). Hopefully, this team can stay at or just above .500 into July and then figure it out from there. I believe they can. Lots of talent on this roster and organization.
  2. I'll be shocked if Albers isn't given the first chance. Not saying he would be my first choice in the matter but feels as though he was signed in case this type of thing happened.
  3. I suggest they all sit down and watch their Sandlot remake to build some team chemistry. Or maybe that’s what is tearing this team apart? Only some were in it. And there’s always the possibility that bringing back Hank has cursed this team too. Haudricourt should get on that story.
  4. Well, I'm glad I brought joy to someone tonight. We may need it for a little while. Thank the heavens Braun ate the clutch gummy to start the year or we would be counting down the days til Packer football.
  5. Well I guess we’ll never find out if Knebel is a regression candidate or not. R.I.P.
  6. Phillips isn’t very good anymore. There is no reason to spend even more money on the second base position (Villar- $2.5m, Sogard- $2.5m, Perez- $2m) when it’s not a clear upgrade. They shouldn’t of signed Sogard (hindsight 20-20 but most said it even at the time) and they could have been in on Walker. They messed that up and so now we ride Villar and just hope the light switch flips on.
  7. Wow. No one here deserves to be called a Chicken Little. Regardless of how pessimistic or optimistic you are. The irony was just too much for me. I had a really good laugh. That’s all.
  8. I really hate that Arcia doesn’t cut down his swing with two strikes. It’s just selfish and not smart baseball.
  9. Keep him. Bye bye Sogard or Perez. Can only stomach one of those guys.
  10. Do I get my Brewer fan card taken away because I flipped over to watch Jersey Shore for a few minutes? I must be really interested in train wrecks tonight.
  11. At least that was Perez and not Villar. Should save us about three pages of posts.
  12. Can Suter be put in the long relief spot where he belongs? Amazes me that this dumb franchise will start him but put a prized arm like Hader in the pen.
  13. Think he was trying to toy with Lester and get to him mentally. Still dumb.
  14. Lineup just released ... flip Arcia and Bandy and you nailed it. Well done. I’m just impressed that he put Arcia up a peg and just didn’t fill the 7th spit with whoever is catching that day.
  15. My guess: Cain- CF Santana- RF Braun- LF Shaw- 3B Aguilar- 1B Perez- 2B Bandy- C Arcia- SS
  16. 10.80 to 4.23... Can't wait!
  17. I don't think he's looking for an "I told you so" just that it can be looked at in a positive and not such a negative. But I will say, even if we traded Santana and Yelich got hurt there would be options with Phillips and Broxton. Everyone is so touchy around here lately. Not good.
  18. Has a career 4.23 ERA at Coors Field in Colorado in 378.2 innings pitched, the most innings he's pitched in any ballpark. I'll gladly take that on the back end of our rotation. Give it some time.
  19. I'm not sure how anyone can say Chacin is not very good. His career numbers and numbers just a season ago say otherwise. Is he a TOR type guy? No. But that is not what he was signed for. He was signed to solidify the back end of a rotation that had its issues a season ago. I'd hardly call that a silly signing. He started off rocky last year as well but then just continued to toss up quality starts as the season progressed.
  20. Gallardo part 2
  21. Was due $2.5M from the Rays so got cut. We signed him for under a million if I remember the tweet it was like $700K.
  22. Yes. Villar was doing everything he could to salvage an out when Chacin decided to give up on the play. And before that, it didn’t feel like a ball Thames needed to dive for. Move the feet. Just some bad baseball all around in this game.
