No matter what they do trade wise, isn’t it a given that they have to draft well if they are to sustain any sort of success? Really stating the obvious with that.
100% sure Gard survives this year. He'll be given the chance to prove that this was a reload year and not a regression. If we look like this next year, though, he's as good as gone. Honestly though, what is coming in to make this team any better? The couple three star recruits they have coming in have them pegged 12th in the B10 for next years recruiting class. Losing Herro was already a bad sign. Just not sure now this team is going to be that drastically improved.
This guy will look really dumb now if we either don't make a move in the next 24 hours(which I don't think we will) or if we don't sign Trevor Bauer... I hope you are talking about the twitter account lol because the picture was a bit of sarcasm...
I wouldn't be so sure on that yet. I'd probably wait to see other roster moves before making that judgment. The Brewers brass saying they'll try Braun at 1B is a long way away from them moving him their permanently. We are always trying to put the cart before the horse around here. I completely understand. You are absolutely right. I'm still going on record saying if Phillips or Santana is still here when the dust settles its going to take a complete defensive abomination by Braun at 1b or injuries to keep him from 90 starts at 1b this year. I would lean towards this on if Santana is here (which I give a small chance to) but probably not as much with Phillips. It may happen but Phillips is really going to have to push his way into the lineup above Thames if this were to happen. And we know that Thames can be a destructive force in a lineup (and also a dud too).

Kipnis is scary. He could be an amazing player for us but he could be a dud. And while that is true about just about every player, he is owed quite a bit of money. Considering we are upwards of $100M and we still are in the mix for other moves, I'm not sure this is the direction we should go when we have Villar, Sogard, Perez in-house that are pretty reasonable contracts. I guess it depends what we give up and if they are footing the bill for some of it.
The Corbin for Broxton deal might be one of those deals HH19 is talking about that are out there but other signings/trades would need to take place for it to actually get done. Example: if the Brewers do trace Phillips and/or Santana, maybe they want to hold onto Broxton.
Brew, where are you getting those numbers? Everywhere I have looked has him under contract this year and next, but a UFA in 2020? Little help, would like to see that. I have no idea what I was doing. The years should be 2018, 19, 20, 21.
The interview on Golic & Wingo made it sound like he was not all too happy. I know there will be a crowd that just says he has no business in coaching decisions but it still could create a rift between Rodgers and management. It's the QB coach's responsibility to develop the QBs and have them ready to play. Hundley's performance is on Van Pelt as much if not more than McCarthy, and that's probably why Van Pelt was let go. Right. I get that but it is probably more on McCarthy and Thompson for picking such a crappy quarterback, to begin with. I mean, Rodgers hasn't had his play dip while under the tutelage of Van Pelt so you can't have it both ways.
I feel as though we need to have a sticked post to note this: BrewerWorld is a parody account. Not serious. Don't take the account seriously. Still don’t get how they are a parody account.
The Packers can hold Rodgers under team control until 2021 if they really want to. Age: Year: Salary 34 - 2018 - $19.8M 35 - 2019 - $20M 36 - 2020 - Franchise Tag 37 - 2021 - Franchise Tag So it's not like Rodgers has a ton of leverage if he really were to want out of Green Bay.
If we trade for Corbin, there is not a doubt in my mind he will take over for Garza in the department of I can't stand watching this guy pitch every five days.

This was posted at 11:35am this morning. I've heard others say it's not a credible source but haven't this account been on the money for some of the deals being made? Yeah, some here have said its a bogus account, but he nailed the Yelich deal a week before it was announced, and I think he got Cain as well. Yeah, that is what I have seen as well. I know this account makes goofy posts a lot of the time but it does seem to be correct quite a bit when big things are occurring.
