  1. Stole this from MLB Trade Rumors- Doesn't look like Abreu will be a Brewer if there was ever even the slightest chance of it.
  2. This is a really good thing to point out. This happens to every team but the more depth Stearns creates, the fewer chances for this to occur.
  3. Yeah, I would. Personally, I'd rather make under the radar moves like trading Rogers for Broxton and a starting pitcher (Trey Supak) who is currently our 14th best prospect, rather than just dumping guys for nothing just because we don't want to be bothered with unknown flyers and lottery tickets. How did I forget that! Yeah, there are some that really undervalue a guy like Aguilar. This is a perfect example of that. I'm sure as heck glad Stearns doesn't.
  4. Well, here's hoping it's not an every other type thing.
  5. Didn't we get Broxton for Rogers? Just sayin' The Yankees traded for a no name 1B at AAA from us....thinking Aguilar would fetch something. Oh yeah, him too!
  6. Didn't we get Broxton for Rogers? Just sayin'
  7. Is there a buyout or a date in which we can cut this guy and not be on the hook for al $5M?
  8. 1. Darvish (31-34)- The age factor for me pushed him above Greinke 2. Greinke (34-37)- He's close to Darvish for me but the age and innings scare me a bit. 3. Arrietta (32-35)- All numbers are trending down and I don't really like him.
  9. If the Brewers were to get Salazar/Mejia for Santana and Nottingham I'd probably die of a mixture of tears and laughter.
  10. Is Hader staying in the pen an Attanasio move?
  11. I guess if he does go to the Cubs, Stearns could always get in touch with one of his Astro buddies and ask him what he was doing that was tipping his pitches. Problem solved. On a more serious note, Darvish has not made up his mind or he would have signed. You just never know about these things, especially since our two recent acquisitions. That can't hurt the odds, can it?
  12. But why would it matter what other franchises are doing in the state of Wisconsin or just other franchise in general? This just wasn’t a topic that really had any legs at all.
  13. Would the Mariners want him?
  14. I will agree with you that it’s cowardly but is it because these execs see what we do at times? Santana comes off as a very lazy player. Now, he might not be st all but he is a bad defender and he’s lackadaisical. Not a great combination for some people. Either way, it would be great to win with Santana now just because of a comment like this.
  15. You would still get whatever your regional network is. I buy the regional sports package from DirecTV (usually they give me $10 off for 6 months so it costs like $3/month) and I get the Brewers on the Fox Sports Go app. At least I think I do. If I don't I must use my parents sign in from Wisconsin.
  16. Counsell and Stearns will sign lifetime contracts after they win the World Series this upcoming season. Might as well close this thread down. Heard it here first! (Sorry HighHeat19)
  17. You asked what I’d give up and this would probably be it. I don’t think the Diamondbacks do it though.
  18. I honestly don’t even think it’s realistic.
  19. Problem is the four remaining definitely are not equal. Darvish and Arrieta are probably the only two who are actually TOR type guys. Darvish puts this team on the map, that’s for sure.
  20. Huge bummer. One of the best arms out teams ever had since I’ve been alive most likely won’t get the opportunity to reach his max potential in a Brewers uniform.
  21. Perfect reason for why they should cost $3-$4 max.
  22. Just put Arcia on the pull side. Should work juuuuust fine!
  23. Something that isn’t said about Braun enough is his willingness to be a total team player. While this seems far fetched, it’s great to hear a player be willing to do anything for the team.
  24. Seriously. I haven't looked them up, but are Cain and Yelich's contracts combined still less money than what Heyward is getting? They are paying him $21-$22M each year for the next six seasons.
