  1. The people that are on the bunt train are probably the first that would comment on here of how stupid CC was if if it didn't work out. The bunt is great if you didn't have back holes like Broxton in your lineup.
  2. I wonder what Hader is thinking at these times. Like what do I have to do to get the damn baseball.
  3. Jimmy Nelson has just been so damn good. Get him a few runs, please!
  4. I'd like Phillips but I'd keep Villar over Sogard. Dude got extremely hot and that will be the last we hear of him.
  5. Simply because he's not a liked player. They can spin it any way they want but that's what it comes down to.
  6. Season on the line with that injury. Lovely. Hope he's okay
  7. Why? Thames is better in every category offensively. What does Arcia have other than speed?
  8. This could very well come down to the remaining 7 games against the Cubs. How fun is that?!? Best em 5 times and the division may be ours.
  9. That's good news. That area they are in now stinks.
  10. I don't need to formally meet someone in person to have an idea of how they operate. Maybe it's because of my career and reading people rather well without having to actually meet them. Everybody has "negative" thoughts, at a minimum, about people they've never formally met before. I have no issue with this dude's love of baseball and attending every game that spans my entire life outside of 3 months. Don't care if he's potentially afraid of flying, or simply has no interest in traveling or whether he's quirky or not. This guy isn't socially awkward; he's plenty comfortable in social settings. Watch the video interview - his tone, nonverbal comm. Look at the still photos - his pose, facial expressions. He's not afraid to mingle publicly; he just chooses to live a simple life and not spend money outside of his Brewers tix. I have no issues with any of these things. Whatever makes him happy; those are his life choices. I have issues with him attempting to portray himself in a certain light. It's clear as day reading the article and watching the interview that things don't line up - he absolutely is embellishing his stories and even lying in certain parts (someone above already called him out for wearing a Brewers jacket at the game last night when he said he doesn't own one piece of apparel and always wears slacks/shirt-polo - are we to believe that the day this article came out he was given the gift of a Brewers jacket?). Never missing one pitch? Hard BS on that one. Won't say he's the biggest fan because if you even attend one game you're a fan but then is pissed when Braun doesn't call him. Piggybacking off that, he calls BS on the randomness of the 100 season ticket holders called because he got wind that NM's CEO and one of the two owners of Kelly's Bleachers got a call AND NOT HIM. (side note: there have been articles and interviews from season ticket holders like him discussing the conversation they had with Braun. just because NM and Kelly's Bleachers got calls doesn't mean they were part of the 100 season ticket holder calls - could have been separate.) And if he's not truthful about something so trivial as those examples, or contradicting his overall sentiment about not wanting to be labeled as the biggest fan and on par with all other fans, then what other nonsense is in that story? I still find it extremely odd that he's on a first name basis with the owner and his wife, recalling a specific story referring to her as Debbie while them also referring to him as Baseball Bob, and inviting him to fly on their private jet to that specific party yet they're not interviewed for this story? The author also gave a horrendous interview and clearly left an absurd amount of stones unturned. The lack of details is astounding. Fair enough. Just thought the bashing was a bit harsh.
  11. Until he quiets the swing, he and Arcia will never be very good at hitting a baseball. Unnecessary movement all over the place. Frustrating.
  12. At least get Braun to the plate. Give ourselves a swing at it.
  13. Boy, some really negative comments about someone we have never met. Jeesh.
  14. How hard was he throwing? Closer material?
  15. 15-12 Good enough to stay within a whisper of the Cubs, but not good enough to make any real noise.
  16. Maybe Agent39 could speak to the velocity dip/trend we have had posted?
  17. If it doesn't happen for the Dodgers this year, when will it? I'm happy they made this move. If we aren't going to win it, I sure as heck don't want the Cubs to do it again.
  18. Let the Lucroy to the Brewers hot stove speculation begin! He won't. He was buthurt to begin with that we didn't want to give him a lot of money to stay. Let him be a league journeyman now and see how that turns out for him. I'll take Pína.
  19. Stearns even said in his interview, while laughing a bit, that some of the links are true and a lot of them are false. Can't believe everything you read. That being said, there were some players to be had out there. Time will tell whether or not it was smart to stay on the sidelines.
  20. There is absolutely nothing wrong with this and if I had season tickets I would probably do the same thing. Yep, me too.
  21. They were in a playoff hunt, and the offense wet the bed. Either be optimistic here or don't post please. We have plenty of other threads for the negativity.
  22. Doesn't the Nashville Predators do something so that you have to show you live there to buy the tickets or something?
  23. Yes, lots said in IGT is just that, emotions. Usually not rationale thought behind it. That being said, I'm excited to see how the last two months go.
  24. Aaron Judge had an OPS+ of 60 last year. Trout had an 89 his first chunk of big league action. I guess their teams should have just given up on them We can still get Granderson for two months and still have a future with Brinson and Phillips. People need to calm the flip down when it comes to these prospects. They will get their time. It just doesn't look like Brinson's is right now.
  25. Yeah, the argument that the Cubs won't be good in a few years because they won't have any prospects isn't a great one. They have other resources to continue their success. It's going to be a tough road for the Crew. Not like it already hasn't been one.
