  1. Feel good for Wily. Counsell said he wanted to help this team win games and this is a perfect way for him to do so.
  2. 5 for 18 as a pinch hitter gives him an opportunity to be on this ball team.
  3. Wily Peralta up and moving around in the pen. Bullpen debut coming!
  4. Anyone hear of a time they are going to try to start up again?
  5. Oh that was very fun for my eyes to see. I hope this rain delay is either for good or until baseball practice is over so I can watch the rest.
  6. I am a little surprised they haven't taken cover to let this pass.
  7. What a sweet swing for Shaw against a lefty. Not trying to do too much. Very impressive.
  8. I can see why it took Espino 10 years to get to the majors. Nothing is overly impressive about him. Glad he's getting his chance but he's just a guy.
  9. Not trying to pick on you but you do realize that these guys are facing major league pitching and every once in awhile they are fooled, right? It happens to the best of them. What was the point of this, especially in an in game thread full of immediate game reactions? Never did I say anything otherwise and I'm a big Shaw fan. I simply pointed out that it was a bad swing and he was fooled badly ? Are you really meaning to say you don't regularly give a quick criticism of the immediate performance of players in IGTs against 'major league' players? A knee-jerk post was commented on and not even in a jerky way. edited - tone it down, please.
  10. First Pina with his antics after the 3-run homer and not Bandy with a fist pump. Love it! A little emotion can go a long way. 30+ pitches in the first inning, love that too!

  12. Should've called up Tim Dillard. It's not like he's really useful to our pitching in the organization.
  13. I think someone, might've been Briggs, that wanted us to sign Eddie Butler this past off season. Hopefully we light him up today.
  14. And Kirk was absolutely killing the ball in Miller Park last season. Hard not to find some playing time for that. Some expect all the starters to play 162 games and that is just not really that realistic anymore. Or that if you don't give your young guys 700 at bats, you're holding down their progression as a player. It's simply not true. Having guys on your bench that can get 300-400 at bats in a season and be productive is the key to success. See this current season.
  15. Not saying we can't find better defense but Villar has been pretty good since the first month of the season. He had a rocky start and has settled into playing some good baseball at second. April: 119 chances, 64 assists, 5 errors May: 74 chances, 40 assists, 0 errors Not posting this, expect an idiotic play today from him but I am one that is in his corner that believes he's too gifted not to becomes a very good MLB player.
  16. Here is a LIST of all the shuttles. Punching them in Google maps is pretty easy to help see how close they are to where you are staying. Or maybe someone else with a bit better knowledge of the area would be able to tell you which is closes to that Best Western you are staying at.
  17. I don't think any of the lefties have had any trouble hitting left handed pitching so far this season so that might be a reason why he did that today. Villar in the 3-hole allows there to be a break between Thames and Shaw at least.
  18. This one might be an evening game by the looks of the weather rolling through.
  19. This is an interesting question that I'd like to know the answer to as well. It doesn't have huge practical significance, but teams plan for contingencies, and it's fun to know what the plan is. Said it before and I'll say it again, Perez. Not surprisingly, Pérez exclaimed, 'Yes sir!' when asked if he also was the Brewers' emergency catcher behind Manny Piña and Jett Bandy, although he said he'd need to borrow one of their mitts if he had to fill in.
