  1. Lol, I needed a good chuckle today. Good stuff.
  2. And very possible he's a .900+ OPS player again and a team that can't hit lefties like the Dodgers ponie up some player should for him. Fangraphs projections can lick em. Look at his numbers since beginning to get health. Numbers are trending up, not down. Offensively AND defensively.
  3. They've pretty much already been on record saying Arcia will be the shortstop this year. So I think #2 can be crossed out. I agree with #1 so that makes it a game of chicken with other teams to trade him. Other GMs have to know we don't really want him anymore.
  4. Is Gilbert Lara ever going to move up the ladder?
  5. This is what kind've gets me. I don't see his value anywhere near $2.5million so it questions as to why he was even resigned.
  6. brewcrewball.com Typical comments honestly Hmm.. I thought it was more telling than typical. Kind've backs up with what you've said for awhile that the deals just are not there for him. Teams aren't willing to part with anything of real value.
  7. IMO the disproportionate amount of boos he gets just about everywhere else says otherwise. Other than STL and CHI, I don't really notice it anymore. And those places always boo'd him. He comes to your team and hits like he has for us and Braun jerseys would be flying off the shelves. Lets not kid ourselves with this. No different than Krod, who is a piece of trash, and people in Milwaukee loved him.
  8. $2 Million is still $2 Million. If it saves MA that money he can place it elsewhere. Just do not agree with you at all on this.
  9. That 2.5 million means nothing to our current salary structure. NOTHING! It isn't like that 2.5 is stopping us from making other moves. It is just plain meaningless. When you could pay a guy league minimum and save $2million, I would say that is not meaningless.
  10. I think Braun values his family more. Seems to be that way ever since becoming a father. It would be interesting to see if he would change his tune but by what he has said so far, I would think it's Cali or bust for trading partners.
  11. $2.5 million isn't a lot for a .279 lifetime hitter in over 1500 major league at bats and who's in his prime. The Brewers paid Counsell $2.8 million in 07 and 08 to be a utility infielder in his mid 30s. Worst case, Brewers can use an accomplished LH hitter to pinch hit late in game. He's also insurance if Arcia gets off to slow start and they decide to send him down to get straight as they can move Villar back to SS and put Scooter at 2B. Why Counsell got paid. It's just tough paying a one-trick pony. That's all I'm saying. I like the move towards versatility. Especially if you aren't extremely good at one thing.
  12. Why aren't there good odds? After having multiple surgeries over the previous off season, he was able to stay healthy enough to produce a pretty great season last year. A full off season this year of recovering completely and him stating that he feels strong as ever, and there is reason to believe that maybe he is on his regular track again. Great hitters like Braun usually don't have many valley's. He's a type of a hitter who could age very well since he uses all fields. Anyone should admit that chance of injury but he's 33, not 38. These are the type of comments I refer to. You can not definitively make this comment. Nor pretend to "know" what the Los Angeles Dodgers front office values more.
  13. I wish he wasn't costing us so much money. He really isn't worth it. If he wasn't costing us so much, there wouldnt' be much of an issue (not sure on his options) with putting him at AAA and letting him smack it around in Colorado Springs. Paying him $3+ million probably keeps him on our roster.
  14. You have spouted off the same rehashed thing in 8 different threads. Trade Braun for crap because he can't stay healthy, he's old, his contract isn't as good as what you want to believe.. blah, blah, blah... You do the same thing so what is your point? The point of the picture was to stop. That was the point. I thought the picture laid that out pretty nicely. Just tired of people claiming they "know" what Braun will fetch in a trade. Or that they "know" he will get hurt going forward. You're predicting. Like everyone else. Stop pretending to "know' everything.
  15. Forgot to quote yourself. You have spouted off the same rehashed thing in 8 different threads. Trade Braun for crap because he can't stay healthy, he's old, his contract isn't as good as what you want to believe.. blah, blah, blah...
  16. I don't think saying this team can win 75 games is being a homer. But carry on with pulling for loses. Should be a fun summer.
  17. This has to mean a starter is on the move... right?
  18. Well we just signed our ace and we have Braun. World Series 2017!
