  1. The Badgers should be shooting free throws until their arms and legs cannot shoot any longer. This team does an amazing job getting to the line but that's about where it ends.
  2. No. Cheaters are usually the ones winning or at least doing everything they can to. See the Patriots for a great example of this.
  3. If it is just for hockey, there is a chance. If it is for all sports, it's not happening. The Big Ten wants TV markets and North Dakota just isn't one. It's monetary over anything else.
  4. I don't even feel bad for the Falcons. Went into the game somewhat cheering for them to get their first but they deserved this for how they finished last nights game. When the Pats were on the comeback through the fourth quarter, I felt like a Russian watching Rocky take on Drago. Something inside me switched and I was rooting for Brady to march them down the field and tie that game up. It was also nice to see a Badger win one and have such an impact. So much so, he should've been the MVP.
  5. Yeah but we're "close" to the Patriots in success according to Mark Murphy. So that is something.
  6. Any idea as to how much let's say buying Colorado Springs franchise would be? Asking for a friend.
  7. Probably should extend Braun well into his 40's.
  8. But other teams don't care about that. They'll need very good production still to want to make that investment. Where did he mention any other team? I believe he is speaking in terms of the Brewers paying him.
  9. Was a really nice man. Was fortunate enough to attend the Badger hockey camp twice and play in a couple of state tournaments and he was an absolute treat to talk to.
  10. While I agree with you, so far we are 0-fer in our attempts to churn anything. Maybe I'm misinterpreting this comment or you are just referencing this offseason, but wouldn't last season's 3.0 bWAR, likely 2017 opening day starter be something? This is exactly what I was talking about. The process so far hasn't yielded a thing and we've actually lost out on a decent upside of a player (Liriano)
  11. Churning the bottom of the roster hoping to get lucky and find a diamond in the rough is exactly what Stearns should be doing. While I agree with you, so far we are 0-fer in our attempts to churn anything.
  12. Who will the Brewers claim next? I mean this guy has to be DFA'd in 48 hours right?
  13. I think it should have been the two picks this year, the $2 million, AND their first round selection next year along with not being able to sign a player that would cost them their first round selection. Somehow, some way, the Cardinals will luck out of this.
  14. So now that the Cardinals are known cheaters, can we allow Pete Rose into the Hall of Fame?
  15. AAA starting pitching depth might be the lowest of all their priorities. One thing the Brewers have in spades is AAA rotation depth. Can never have enough. Especially when talking about a guy that was drafted in the 1st round, is only 25 and obviously had some skills that were worth being up at the major league level. Burgos could easily be moved to the pen.
  16. This would be a solid pickup for AAA depth. Problem is our AAA location is no better than Coors.
  17. A guy I hope the Packers target would be OLB Melvin Ingram from the Chargers. Perry, Clay and Ingram could be a formable pass rush to help the secondary out.
  18. But he'll be even older by then. We have to get him now and sign him to a long term deal.
  19. Thames can play corner OF too. Lots of flexibility on the roster.
  20. Unfortunate that you were disappointed however I liked both, Force Awakens more than Rogue One and the vast majority of critics and fans agree. Rey, Finn and Kylo Ren are great characters and they don't have to rely on just the old characters. No chance that Luke will pull a Yoda from Attack of the Clones. Just disappointed in the abilities so quickly with Rey and Finn immediately. Or the inability by Kylo Ren who was trained. The fight scene was absolutely brutal.
  21. Heck, I think it's entirely possible given the connections to Miami that he was using all the way back in '07 when he signed his 45M dollar deal and wanted to ensure he secured a big payday rather than go year to year in case he was discovered. But none of us will ever know. It's all a matter of opinion. Could be true. I'm in the court that doesn't care much about PED use in that era because there was such a high volume using. Braun would've got money either way. I also am one that thinks he was breaking down and used to recover. Again, just opinion though. No one will actually know.
  22. I respect the heck out of a guy like Scooter but he's just not that good at second base and now we are going to possibly get him reps at shortstop? Ish. Even in the outfield, his bat is just not good enough to play out there unless it is an emergency type situation.
  23. PED's or not, he's a better hitter than Robin Yount. He's going to break the records.
  24. To be fair their "go for it" moment last season was trading away RHP prospect's Frankie Montas, Jharel Cotton, and Grant Holmes to aquire Josh Reddick and Rich Hill. Maybe not the top blockbuster trade of the deadline, but certainly not a small price either. This trade alone proves how stupid their franchise is. Reddick pushing them over the top? Give me a break.
