  1. JBJ isn't here for his offense. He is here to save runs. If there is one thing we should've learned from 2018 is that they will stack positions and find at-bats for them all.
  2. No one said he is but JBJ is at another level and that can make a difference over the course of the season. Let's put it this way. If the Brewers ended up going with Taylor and he stunk, you'd have the fans with pitchforks out again saying how cheap the Brewers are and that they never sign anyone. Well, they signed JBJ to shore up their team defensively as well as bring another stick from the left side.
  3. If you think the Bradley signing is puzzling, you did not get the theme of the offseason. Defense and pitching is the way this team was built and so far, it is working. Bradley will end up making his impact offensively too. Already has at some points. You can never have enough good players.
  4. Gearing up for being tired all week long with all these late starts. Hopefully, we get some good ball games and some W's!
  5. Make sure they are having fun at that young of an age (any age for that matter), otherwise there is a chance they won't grow to love the game. I see it too often that by the time a player gets to high school that they are burnt out or they have had a terrible experience that shapes how they go about the game. When it's baseball season, play baseball and enjoy it. When summer ends, pick up and try another sport. Keep it fresh. Keep your kids as well-rounded of an athlete as you possibly can to open all/any door you can for them as they get older and start to focus on sports (or not). Don't get sucked into the travel teams if you can get around it. Most are nothing more than money-makers for someone. The same goes for camps. One here or there is a good way to get extra training or outside advice and you can pick up a lot from a camp. But the majority of the time, those experiences are nothing more than money-makers as well and don't give your player any more than your local HS coach can.
  6. Went to see a movie a few weeks ago...just to get out of the house. Nobody was in the preview - wife looked at me and said, 'that probably would have been fun to watch.' I was surprised she said that. Bummed me out because I did want to see it but didn't think she would enjoy it. Fast forward to today. I look to see if Nobody is playing this weekend in Sun Prairie - it isn't. Ugh. I believe you can rent it at home for like $20. Not the same as a theater but these days it's nice just to have something of quality to watch.
  7. Has a reporter ever asked and denied access to who is in this group?
  8. Nobody was excellent. Went to the theater for the first time in over a year and I’m glad I did.
  9. Hader might still be Hader because of the way he’s being used though.
  10. I don’t think you make that call when you can lose the game in the 9th. Especially when Hader hasn’t thrown in days now.
  11. Weren't we all told repeatedly, though, that Avi was a huge waste of money and is, in fact, terrible? Nice to see him hitting a few on the screws this year. Yeah, there was some buzz around that. I think last season fooled many in a lot of different ways.
  12. You think that 3B coach would send him seeing Hiura getting the relay.
  13. I don’t quite get the Vogelbach in the 2-hole when Hiura is swinging and seeing it better. Edit- Nice of him to smack one out finally.
  14. C) trade him But other than that, your points stand.
