  1. I too do not believe christian yelich deserves capital letters for his name right now.
  2. Suter better get himself together. He has to be reliable for this pen to have a shot.
  3. Can we put this atop each game thread as a reminder that we will lose some games against the Pirates this season? And that even when we do, things can still be okay.
  4. The only reason I wanted all seniors gone was to start a new era/grouping of Badgers. Davison coming back is fine. He will help be the veteran that will hopefully help this team next season compete. He's a good player that works extremely hard. He's had a few hiccups but from just about anyone's account that knows him, he's a really good dude.
  5. A four game stretch where he struck out once per game as opposed to twice per game is a "turnaround"? He already K'd in the first inning against Arrieta. Look I hope he succeeds and becomes a key hitter for a half decade. However, since coming back from the minors in 2019 he's struck out at 35% clip. It's like playing with only 26 outs. Dropping from 50% to 25% is yes, a turnaround. I mean he literally cut his strikeouts in half since a horrid start. It is early...
  6. I agree but it isn’t like his last at bat was bad. Hit it hard and worked a count.
  7. Odd timing of this thread as his strikeouts are and probably always will be an issue but... First 5 games = 10 SO / 20 PA (50%) Last 4 games = 4 SO / 16 PA (25%) Without looking up the other data, I'm sure his hard contact % would reflect about the same turnaround as those numbers.
  8. I appreciate how you promote decorum on BF. Reid’s dismissal from the Eagles was not long after his older son’s death. I was surprised he didn’t take a year off from coaching to tend to his family (and his personal health). Few people have the resources to do that, but I’ve got to believe that after his tenure in Philadelphia he had the money and the reputation to step aside for a bit and still have an NFL job waiting for him whenever he wanted to return. Maybe he felt he could keep an eye on Britt if they were working together in the same building every day? We are also talking about adult-age people here too. While they are his kids, they are adults who are making these errors in judgment. It has been stated that Andy and his wife have done everything they could for these kids, and some might say they've done too much which has led them down this road of continuing to make these really poor choices. I don't think I would call him a bad father because he has chosen to continue to live his life and do his job. And I'm not implying that you are but I know that it has been some peoples rationale for calling him a bad father or whatever.
  9. Peterson for sure. Robertson has a little bit longer of a leash for me yet but he's off to a not so great start.
  10. Way to early to make a final judgement on the pen. Or anything for that matter. It’s like we never learn.
  11. Peralta just isn't tested enough to make this kind of a statement. Let's see where Freddy is at the all star break. I’m just ahead of the game.
  12. Awesome response to the BS. Just keep shutting their overpaid offense down and winning games. Stay out of the mess.
  13. It’ll be interesting to look back. I think Burnes has already surpassed Woody and I already see Peralta there. We’ll see if he is consistent enough, I agree there. But I just am pretty high on Peralta and his stuff.
  14. Nah, Woodruff is clearly better than Peralta. In what way is he clearly better?
  15. Great. A HBP leads to a run. See how stupid it is? And this one probably wasn’t on purpose.
  16. For a guy that has been pretty awful at the plate, Urias has had some important/big hits for us through 11 games.
  17. Retaliate? Please. A curveball that got away. And who cares? Keep taking the base runners.
