I wasn't exactly sure what forum to put this in as it is a little bit of a rant more than anything. BUT... How can a guy like Logan Schafer make our team when there are guys like Nyjer Morgan out there who actually give you a good AB and can play multiple OF positions? Honestly, how? How rosters are put together never makes sense to me. Granted, your 25th guy on your team probably doesn't hold you back (Counsell hit under .200 in 2011 and we won 96 games) but when there are guys out there who could actually make your team better, what's the hold up? I know Parra is a gold glove corner OF guy but for $6 mil you could find guys like Nyjer for almost league minimum and get the same type of production. I only used Nyjer because he is not on a team, had success for us, and is a decent example of how you can do well in your MLB career but not hang around.

He would probably be all for it, but would they? It's not like he's lit the world on fire this season. And would they really want to give up something to a division opponent? I don't know, I just can't see it happening. -

I would too after watching guys like Thornburg and Broxton make this squad and get whacked around for a month. Especially with basically no shot at a playoff run, he might as well hope another team with a chance needs an arm.

Good job getting out of it but 48 pitches through 2 innings is not good.

No not yet, why rush him? Is he going to play over Braun? No but he could play with Braun eventually. Either Braun does 1B transition or goes back to LF. Davis is not a long term answer in the OF. Too many holes in his game.

Clint Coulter is 3-for-3 today with a home run, now tied for Minors lead with six home runs. He's at advanced A ball, maybe make the move to AA?

Good two strike approach for Davis there. Swing as hard as you can, try to pull it, on an up and away fastball. Hope we make a change in LF too. Trade him to some AL team. Maybe put Braun back in left after trading him away? Just spit ballin here.

Trade Lucroy for Swihart (Boston) and you have your catcher of the now & future as well. That Carlos Leal in our minors is sure intriguing as well. 2017 C- Swihart / Leal 1B- Braun 2B- Sardinas 3B- Prospect from Segura and Gennet trades SS- Arcia Aren't you his agent or something? Why would you pencil in a 33rd round pick with 44 MiLB plate appearances in on the MLB roster? I wish I was. But no, that's Agent39. Just being overly optimistic is all hoping we found a diamond in the rough.
