  1. What's he supposed to say? Gamel has been nothing but disappointment. Immaturity, and now an injury. It's annoying. He's been flat out annoying. There are guys who get chances and make the most of them. And then there are guys like Gamel, Green, etc... who tinkle all down their leg when they get them. Hart is better. It sounds like Hunter Morris is even better. Hopefully Gamel will just go away, for good.
  2. Hart as a first basemen has a lot more value than Hart as a RF. I think we keep him for next season, try to work out a team friendly contract and if he doesn't want to do that then we trade him mid season and give a guy like Hunter Morris a shot. If Hart signs, then maybe we move a guy like Hunter Morris for some pitching. I dunno, I'm just spit ballin
  3. How happy are you with our trades/moves so far? I am at about a 7 because we didn't get to trade Wolf, Krod or Marcum yet but when looking at prospects other teams got I think Melvin did an awesome job. We have 4 players that can possibly contribute to the Brewers including filling a huge hole at SS. We got two guys who might be starters and a dude that's filthy in the pen if can clean up mechanics. Pretty pleased compared to what others traded and received.
  4. Sign back McGehee!!! Trade Aram and bingo, we have poop.
  5. If Greinke wanted to stay here that bad, he would have signed on the line which is dotted (to quote one of my favorite cinematic scenes of all time). Hey, I'd love to be wrong, but haven't we seen this before, along with all the right quotes from the right people? I was blindly optimistic that the Crew may have been able to retain C.C. or Prince, but no more. In my view, this is even a bigger longshot than those two were, because Greinke isn't even with the team anymore. Both C.C. and Prince 'loved it' here as well by all accounts, but they loved the extra 8-9 figures in their bank accounts even more. Maybe Greinke, the scout in him, told him the best route is to be traded and pitch 2 months for the Angels while getting a stud SS and some pitchers that could help him when he comes back to Milwaukee. Who knows? Who really knows...?
  6. Haha, nice. My grand father and dad were going to name me Paco Pete Peterson as they thought it would be a great baseball name. My mother on the other hand was not having it. Real names Kyle. Oh and I'm not Mexican or anything haha but all my friends call me Paco so it stuck to some degree. I'm just glad it brings joy to your life haha
  7. 6-Man rotation to keep everyone's innings down Gallardo Fiers (Burgos when Fiers maxes his innings out) Estrada Peralta Rogers Thornburg
  8. Segura- SS Aoki- RF Braun- LF Ramirez- 3B Hart- 1B Lucroy- C Weeks- 2B Gomez- CF (No platoon but play Schaffer vs. RHP 2-3 times a week) Pitcher Bench: Green Ishikawa Maldonado Ransom Schaffer
  9. I thought Nyjer would drop it. Another series win!!! Gotta get at least 2 vs Cincy. Letssssss goooooo!!!
  10. Jeff Bianchi. Do something... Or go back to AAA and join the lifers (Green, Gamel, Maysonett etc...)
  11. These are the situations that just kill us. Runner on 3rd with no one out and can't score him. Heck they dont even put it in play. Dumb.
  12. 16 HR's 240 IP. Not sure if that is a lot but nothing like what it has been in the majors Better than 7 HRs in 10 innings I guess. Lol
  13. Thornburg may need to pitch in a deeper park. Yikes does he need to hit a corner and not on the belt.
  14. I've definitely noticed that this year. They play their asses off. I respect that to no end. Agreed. This team has been just plain ole beat down wih injuries, bad luck, gut wrenching losses, etc.... But they keep getting off the mat and fighting back. It's been a pleasure to watch that part of it. A lot of other teams say screw it, I'll get paid either way.
  15. You guys must not follow very closely? Morgan hasn't hit a lick, even against RHP, so why not play the better defender more. Vs. RHP Gomez: .736 ops Morgan: .576 ops
  16. I can. Who the heck gives up anything for him? I honestly don't get what management sees in him. Is it only because he is a lefty and happens to run into one, somehow, here and there? His catching is mediocre and he walks at times. Yippeeeeee!! I wouldnt trade a bag of balls for him.
  17. Saito and Hawkins were studs in the 2nd half of the season last year. Saito hasn't even pitched this season so that woulda been a terrible sign but Hawkins would have been nice to have again. Woulda solved having Veras as a 7th inning man.
  18. Maybe instead of signing guys who have been around the block a few times and haven't had a ton of success, we try and fill from within. Starters: Basically a staff that costs $12-$15 million Gallardo Fiers Estrada Peralta Narveson or Rogers Relievers: (Under $10 Million here) Axford Parra Thornburg Rogers or Naveson Henderson McClendon Wooten That way if some or all don't work out, we haven't sunk a ton of money into the pen and are flexible to possibly go out and sign a vet or make a trade for someone that can polish off the pen. Being in the situation we are this season where we have NO MONEY to even go out and get some support sets you up for having to watch all these bush leaguers go out and suck each and every night.
