  1. You do realize Burnes is hurt, right? Was he to start the game?
  2. D"Amico wasn't ready for the bright lights either... Oh my dude. Give it a rest already. I do find it funny that one of the biggest chokers in the game of baseball was referenced with winning Cy Young’s and then not showing up when it matters though.
  3. He seems awkward when catching the baseball so it’d be interesting to see it.
  4. Keeping it at 3 is huge. Punchers chance.
  5. Can’t burn everyone with the doubleheader tomorrow. Someone might have to wear one eventually here.
  6. We shall see with the situation. Do I think he’s faking something? Don’t know one way or another. I’d hope not. But I have my high doubts they allow the future of the rotation to start the game with any sort of back or side pain. He pitched crappy from the start. It’s okay to note that and have the opinion that he may not be ready for these types of starts. You can still be a Burnes guy and be very disappointed in how he came out tonight.
  7. There is no backtrack. It was a disappointing start for a guy that looked like he might be ready to be the guy. I guess we will now wait for next season to see where that head is at if we get in these types of games again. Once again, he is/was hurt, has nothing to do with his head. Why do you want to die on that hill? Seems too convenient.
  8. Nice backtrack, and he hasn't won a Cy Young. Just stop. There is no backtrack. It was a disappointing start for a guy that looked like he might be ready to be the guy. I guess we will now wait for next season to see where that head is at if we get in these types of games again.
  9. Cy Young winners show up in these games. Hopefully this season is a building block for Burnes moving forward into becoming one of the best starters in the NL.
  10. ridiculous statement. I’ll stand by it.
  11. The next guy struck out. The following guy had a soft liner. Run still doesn’t score. If all he needed was to put a ball in play instead of getting a hit it changes the ab. That goes without saying. Does it? I’m not so sure on that.
  12. The next guy struck out. The following guy had a soft liner. Run still doesn’t score.
  13. Keep in mind the new stadiums are much more hitter friendly as far as foul territory and short porches. And pitchers throw harder than they ever have. All of them.
  14. Burnes isn’t ready for the bright lights it seems.
  15. And yet, more runs are scored per game now than when they used to bunt all the time.
  16. Of course Burnes just couldn’t come ready tonight.
  17. I fell of the wagon of the diet/exercise recently. Need to jump back on in a hurry.
  18. Bellinger is striking out 17% of the time. You know who doubles that? Keston at 34%. If he didn't pop a few out of the park this year, the numbers would be even more alarming as he's only walking 7% of time as well.
  19. If nothing else, last nights loss lowered expectations for me. If they happen to win 3 of 5, great. But I expect them to tease and just barely miss the playoffs at this point.
