    More position versatile. Play Davis at 1B and DH Hoskins. Davis could play 3B next year and Ortiz could play SS.

    If they want a bat, why not Tyler Black? He's a similar player to Yelich, long term, and can play some 1B, LF, DH and possibly 3B or CF in a blowout game.

    I like a Kikuchi deal for reasons stated above. Possible exchanges could be Blalock, Wichrowski, Patrick or even Frelick. Pretty much a one for one deal.

    After tonight I'd trade Peralta and Adames to the Dodgers for Bobby Miller and whatever prospects we can get and mix with some of ours to get experienced starting pitchers and hitters elsewhere. Criticize at will!!

    Brewers historically do struggle against underachieving pitchers. Hope their current lineup doesn't follow suit.

    In 2025 Collins possibly could fill the 2B vacancy if Turang fills SS with Adames probable departure in FA.

    Assuming Bauers is safe I'd option Frelick and let him play some 3B and maybe 2B to strengthen his versatility. Perkins is what he is but offers switch hitting in the OF. They need to go with Black for more power than our pal Sal.

    As stated before in these forums Dunn has hardly played at AAA. He needs at bats for continued development to see if he can seriously contend at 3B in 2025. Let's see if Bauers withstands Mitchell's availability at AAA.

    I'm not interested in adding relievers via trade and pretty reluctant on other trades. I've felt since the beginning of the season that they should focus on sorting out the young players at the top of their system. They need more answers on those players.

    Red Sox. Don't like the city or the accent or its politics and the favoritism of MLB TV scheduling and I really hate the Celtics since the 60's.

    I agree with Clancyphile. Black has some CF experience in MILB. With his speed and presumed average arm he should be able to play LF, CF and even RF in an emergency. Too many 1B types now and in the near future for him to be relegated to 1B or DH.

    No trade for Quero now. Young for such a developed catcher. No comparable catching prospect behind him.

    Counsell is just another Brewers manager to not reach the world series. I assume his attendance jab referred to spring training games where the cubbos have always drawn well. (More people in Arizona have escaped the hell hole of Illinois.) /s/ Milwaukee baseball fan and Cubs hater since 1957.

    The strategy, as discussed above, appears a lead off hitter, improved defense and fewer strikeouts, which they've accomplished. I wouldn't evaluate the moves until the whole picture is clarified by follow up moves. Unlikely they aren't part of the plan.
