  1. My guess is that Hurricane goes back down. It was only one game but maybe they feel confident in McGehee at 2nd platooning with Counsell, keeping Gamel and Hall the platoon at 3rd.
  2. Who would you start over him? Counsell vs a lefty? Weeks is hurt... The Bill Hall/Craig Counsell platoon should be moved to 2B. I don't know if I'd even want McGehee out there over Hurricane. So lets just say, I'm not a fan of Casey. I think him getting significant playing time is the worst possible option. He deserves a shot. Iribarren is also left handed. I'm not so sure Bill Hall would be happy about moving positions. I don't see the harm in sending McGehee out there to see what he can do. It's only 1 game so I'm not trying to make to much of this but I think McGehee proved he deserves a chance to play. Thanks for making me look bad on not tagging up there Casey.
  3. Doesn't look like Bernie even gets wet in the splash zone. Weak.
  4. bill hall through the ball to second base and didnt get the out. i think thats what play they were talking aboutThe free out was the Astros gave the wrong lineup to the umpire before the game. Bourn hit first, out of order. Therefore Matsui is automatically out, and Bourn must hit again. He eventually walked. Hall made a bad decision and tried to get the out at 2nd when there was no force play and Lee was safe.

  7. Wow... That was really something. I don't know what it was, but it was something. Do you think any of the players "dated" any of the ladies in that video? Imagine if that was your wife. "Well, they were shooting a video for Baseball Boogie and he said come on 'baby let's boogie tonight.' I just got caught up in the moment". Thanks for posting the link, I thoroughly enjoyed that.
  8. We've got Yo pitching, 1st place in our division, a 7 game win streak and Brooks Kieschnick as a memeber of our site! I'm pumped for tonight. Let's go Yo!
  9. Welcome Brooks! You have no idea how exciting it is to have you as a member of this site. Loved your interview and loved watching you play. I have a couple questions for you. After reading your interview and looking at your career stats you definitely deserved a better shot than the Cubs gave you. I was wondering who you played with or knew of that deserved a shot and never really got a good look in the pros? How do you feel about the Brewers retro uniforms? Did you get a sense that the organization or the fans were looking back or hanging on to the early 80's teams too much? Can you give us a stadium or two that you loved playing in and a stadium or two that you just didn't like playing in? Thanks so much and we're thrilled to have you as a member of this site!
  10. Awesome stuff! I can't imagine a Brewer fan that wasn't a Brooks fan too. He was so fun to watch. I wish they would have hung on to him a little longer. I really hope he decides to be involved with this site. I'd love to hear from him some more. Great interview.
  11. That's awesome! Watch out though, this team is good, they might give you gout.
  12. I wish he would have pretended to make snow angels while he was on the ground.
  13. The ball will be given to Gamel in exchange for the bottom 6 inches of every Brewers uniform shirt.
  14. Nice catch by Braun. Just wish he would have been a little classier afterwards.
  15. Hilarious shot of the dugout and the guys reaction to Gamel.
  16. The Saint Looey Youngster has requested a signed photo, a Gamel bat, a Braun signed bat, a Fielder signed bat, and he wants to view Weeks' surgery this week from the gallery. and tickets to a Brewers-Yankees game some time in the future.
  17. Let's hope whoever caught that ball is nice about exchanging it with Gamel.
  18. Wow, just wow. It sucks as a fan but I can't imagine how Rickie is feeling. He looked great, seemed to be playing to his potential. I agree with you PrinceEatMeat, the most logical move would be to give Gamel a shot at 3B and go with Hall/Counsell at 2B. McGehee can play occasionally at 3B to give Gamel a day off against a tough lefty.
  19. No kidding, how about a call to Brad saying you'll get to see the field for atleast 15 days, how about it? How crazy would it be to watch the Brewers in interleague play against a RH pitcher. Obviously the order could be whatever but the point is the number of left handed hitters. RF Hart 2B Counsell LF Braun 1B Fielder CF Cameron SS Hardy 3B Gamel DH Nelson C Kendall 4 lefties!
  20. Yeah, sorry. I was tired. I know that no one was getting bent out of shape. I think somewhere in there I was trying to make the point that you made about it not being a big deal. As long as they're playing I'm happy. I almost think the "problem" is that the Brewers have too many cool uniforms/logos. The Milwaukee Bears look is cool, the ball and glove logo/retro uniforms, their current uniforms, I even like their barrelman logo. Tough to keep everyone happy.
  21. I can see I'm in the minority so far but I like the retro uniforms. I don't think it hurts anything if they wear them twice a month at home. I don't see the big deal in changing the uniform from "Brewers" to "Milwaukee". Are there people out there that would be less of a fan because they live in a different part of the state and the uniform said Milwaukee? Get over it, they are the Milwaukee Brewers. I don't get it. They can wear a T-Shirt and jeans for all I care.
  22. Right, instead of having a bunch of negotiated for stuff that would leave a sour taste in my mouth every time I so much as looked at it. Especially a picture of me shaking hands with a player who now despises me. One of the parts of this that I haven't seen anyone else comment on is that he put in his demands how the bat is signed. "Made out to Nick, thanks for catching my first home run ball" or something along those lines. That was a little awkward to me. You can request an autograph but I don't understand telling the player how to do it. Then his comments on his blog about how he is upset that Coghlan didn't look genuine in his photograph... I wouldn't put on a big smile for that either. Regardless of your opinion on the matter the player had to spend the rest of the game and then afterwards wondering if he was ever going to get that ball back. It appears as if the ball was being held ransom for as much stuff as possible. I know HY made a point on his blog to say that he handed out a few of the batting practice balls to kids in the stands which is nice. However, who do you think those kids would have liked to get the ball from? A MLB player or another fan in the stands? DHonks made the point that if he got 14 balls during the game that is 13 kids that went with out the experience. I didn't think of that until reading that post and I'm glad DHonks said that. Most people that get a ball at the game go home and tell someone about it excitedly. It's a big deal to people. Especially when they aren't used to getting one or 14 a night.
  23. That's one of the strangest box scores I've ever seen. Nice find!
