  1. I look away for a few minutes and Jack Wilson with a 0-2, 2 out bases loaded double in the top of the 9th to take the lead.
  2. I really do appreciate what CC did last year. It's just that watching him get rocked, even though it is just 1 game, supports the decision to let him go.
  3. I'll definitely chime in on a Chase Field, Phoenix thread. This thread was interesting even though I'm not going to the stadium. I hope we do end up with a thread for each stadium.
  4. Theres just too much history there to tear it down. No it doesn't have any of the amenities of modern stadiums. We also go camping for enjoyment though. Every vacation isn't a luxury resort. Wrigley is the baseball version of camping... but with tons of history.
  5. I don't mean to steer the thread in a different direction but after reading TH's blog I really hope the Brewers take the first chance they have to screw over the Giants with a scheduling decision. Late game on get away day or something along those lines.
  6. at SF - 3 2-1 Chi - 3 1-2 Cin - 3 2-1 at NY- 3 1-2 at Phi - 3 1-2 at Hou - 3 1-2 Pit - 3 2-1 AZ- 1 1-0 11-11 and I'd be thrilled with that record after a tough first month. Having opening day as an off day really hurts. None of the guys want that day off and it doesn't allow them to rest when they need it. Anything better than a .500 month would be awesome.
  7. I'm sad that they closed down Yankee stadium. I'd like Wrigley to stick around.
  8. This is an awesome thread. Lots of great info. I think it would be really cool to have something like this going for all of the stadiums and major league cities. This info would be great any time one of us was traveling to see the Brewers play.
  9. Hey Happy Youngster, did you talk to her after you made the catch at all?
  10. Of the games that FSWisconsin isn't televising in HD how many of those will be available on Directv from the other teams broadcast in HD? I'm hoping most of the games FSWisconsin doesn't have in HD I will get the other teams feed that is in HD. Also, last year it was an issue where if they played on a Saturday before 7pm the game was blacked out completely. In that case I will just be happy if all of the games are on tv. I also don't understand how they can't afford to broadcast all games in HD. If you own the cameras to do it in HD for 95 games, what are those cameras doing for the other 67 games?
  11. Why go all the way out to the game and buy a ticket to take a nap out on the lawn. Watch the game lady!
  12. I might be in the minority here but I think the barrel man logo should be worked in. We'd be the only team in the league with 6 mascots and 3 logos...
  13. That was awesome. The girl just sits there like nothing happened. If he doesn't run over that's hitting her while she naps through the game.
  14. I'm really surprised that San Diego didn't even claim him. As much as I like TGJ, he really has next to no value.
  15. yeah heck of a play by Prince. Impressive play if anyone makes, even more impressive that Prince got up and grabbed that liner.
  16. I can't believe they took him to Maryvale Medical Center for x-rays. It's one of the most ghetto facilities in the valley. There are atleast 10 better options for places to have the x-rays done. He's a star in the league and the team takes him to one of the worst places to have an x-ray done... wow.
  17. Thank god they are still going to pay him the 14 million... Atleast he will be able to take care of his family! Seriously though, this guy set us back further than Jeffrey Hammonds or Teddy Higuera's contract by forcing his way out of town. Where would we be if he would have liked it in Milwaukee?
  18. What a disgusting act by this officer. He cost the family a chance to be with the mother in-law when she needed them most. He does not deserve paid leave. It's time he finds a new line of work.
  19. I don't know how I get sucked into the comment section of TH's blog but every few days I glance at it. Then I end up mad that there are people this stupid that claim to be fans of the same team I'm a fan of. I end up so irritated by it and I swear I will never look at it again.
  20. The physical nature of the game isn't even that relevent when you think about it. The best point is about the length of time spent inactive standing in the field followed by suddenly needing to go full speed without any prior notice. I've developed a stiff neck after a sneeze... All it takes is a stiff neck or a minor muscle strain to take a .300 hitter and turn him into a .200 hitter. I'm not freaking out about it but if I had my way I'd like to see Braun in AZ resting until there is no doubt he is healthy.
  21. The perception of Weeks and Cameron are really irritating. I know that a lot of people think Weeks has much more potential, myself included, but he's criticized way more than he should be. He's a decent major league 2nd baseman with the ability to be better. The average fan who doesn't understand OBP and OPS doesn't realize the quality of player that Weeks and Cameron are. They just see the strike outs and boo. It's frustrating to see/hear.
  22. I think anyone posting here that baseball is not very physically demanding are the same people that would be hurting the next day after fielding about 25 ground balls in practice prior to the game.
  23. I don't want to comment off topic (brauns injury) but I'm not excited about the WBC. Play it every 6 or 8 years or whatever but even some of the players have lost interest already. I don't want to see our franchise player getting hurt while playing for team USA. I know that the exact same injury could have occurred in a meaningless ST game but the big point, the only point is that then the Brewers team doctors would be there to evaluate him and decide whether he needs to sit. Now his health is in the hands of the Marlins medical staff. That doesn't seem right to me.
  24. So according to Haudricourts latest blog update it is the same injury. Just a mild version of it and the Brewers haven't been able to get their medical staff to see him. It doesn't sound like Braun wants to come back to AZ. The team needs to put an end to this nonsense. The WBC is worthless and I don't think Bud or anyone else involved in the WBC is going to be paying Brauns salary while he misses time. The risk for injury is the same as if he was playing in AZ but the fact that they have to rely on the opinion of the Marlins trainers is a joke. He should be on the next plane back.
  25. I took it all to mean, trade Prince, Braun to 1st, Rickie to LF. Not a bad idea but I think we are at the point of no return already. Prince has signed for 2 years, what are you going to get in a trade for him now? You can't expect Braun and Weeks to learn a new position 3 weeks before opening day. If the team had decided to go in this direction they would have done it a month or more ago. I think Cain will be the CFer next year and that the Brewers will just find a new second baseman at some point instead of all this moving around.
